BEDDING CONFIGURATION:
All bedrooms feature carpet, very comfy pillow top beds & fine linens.
The first bedroom is fitted with a queen-size bed and features a 27in. television with DVD player.
The second bedroom is fitted with a king-size bed and features a 27in. television with DVD player.
The third bedroom is fitted with a loft-style queen-size bed and two twins. It is Kid Central with a 27in. TV, PS2, (2)wireless controllers, tons of games, VCR, and NO commercial/cable TV...they can only watch what you allow.
KITCHEN:
Fully equipped and completely stocked right down to the spices. Amenities include an oven/range, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffeemaker (with filters).
Big meal or small we have the service & preparation items you'll require.
The cabin has a full size dinning table that accommodates 6-8 people.
The natural-wood counter features four stools for the more informal meal.
LAUNDRY:
The laundry room features a full sized washer & dryer. It also comes stocked with detergent, cleaning supplies and other sundries you may require.

Area Information
SKI, SKI, SKI, & SNOWBOARD HEAVEN. We are in the area immediately below Snow Summit, known as Summit Estates.
During the season you can walk down to the free shuttle ride or walk up two blocks right to the lifts at SNOW SUMMIT. We are so close you can come back to the cabin for lunch and save a bundle of dough. Snow Summit also offers night-skiing during high-season. There is also a free shuttle to BEAR MOUNTAIN from the parking lot at Summit.
SUMMER:
Big Bear Lake for boating, waterskiing, jetski, fishing, & sun bathing with parks for the kids. A swim-to rock island for the older kids.
Mountain biking galore - we are only two blocks to "Summit in the Summer," Snow Summit offers mountain biking galore with the lift-ride back up the hill.
Golf - only a two minute drive to the course and clubhouse.
Off-Roading - TONS of O.H.V. areas, for your bikes, buggies, & ATV's.
Day Spas/Slide Park/Hiking/All the fresh-air you can take.

This is my second time at this cabin, my boyfriend loves being able to get out of the desert into a mountain paradise! Everyone who stayed with us absolutely loved it! I has everything thing you need and is close to so many places! One being Snow summit... a walking distance away. We will be coming back for sure!!

Awesome Cabin!

We are from Pennsylvania and visited our Marine who is stationed at 29 Palms. He so wanted to get out of the desert. I did some research and found Big Bear Lake. WOW! This place was fantastic! The cabin was immaculate! It had everything available to you that you could imagine. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The cabin was nicely decorated. It had such a homey feel to it - Just what our Marine has longed for. The location was perfect - in walking distance to everything. The neighbors were wonderful to. Very helpful to us out of towners. Mikal, you are a great host. Thank you so much for such wonderful accomodations. I am telling every Marine Mom about your place and Big Bear Lake! But please be sure to always have it available for us first :)

Quiet location close to Snow Summit

Clean, spacious cabin located close to Snow Summit. We could walk to the scenic sky chair and take a ride up the mountain. The village was about 1.5 miles away in one direction and there was a small mall with supermarkets, Starbucks etc less than a mile in the other direction. The cabin was in a quiet tree lined road and was perfect for a summer short break. I imagine it would be cozy in the winter. We didn't use the hot tub but it would be great to use after a day on the slopes.

This is a nice, basic cabin to stay in. The description was accurate and the cost matched the property. The owner was very responsive and took care of the only (small) issue we had very quickly. I would recommend this property and we plan to revisit in the future.

Great Place to Stay in Big Bear!

We stayed for 3 nights with 3 children (ages 6-8) and loved it! It is snuggled away in a quiet area covered with pine trees, but still only a mile or so from groceries, starbucks, the lake, etc... The kids room was perfect with a queen size bed loft and two twins, a TV/VCR with movies. We took advantage of the wood burning fireplace (smores of course), the gas grill (like new) and the hot tub (clean and sitting in the cool shade). They have a ton of movies to watch or all the channels you need via cable TV. The kids played in the backyard, fished a little and had a blast. The property manager was there when we arrived making sure everything was perfect for us and the owner was super easy to work with on the phone. Great Time and I would recommend the cabin to anyone!

Great reunion getaway cabin

The cabin was perfect for our family reunion. My 2 sisters first comment was wow this is really nice. The cabin was clean and extremely comfortable. It was also quiet so we could have a nice relaxed and peaceful weekend. We enjoyed the hot tub as well as an added bonus. All communication on arranging the cabin was professional and friendly. The kitchen was well organized so it was a pleasure to fix meals. The open floor plan made it easy to continue our visit while we prepared meals. When we felt like eating out there were plenty of good restaurants close by. We went for a nice hike one day and kayaking the next for outdoor activities. In all the weekend could not have been better. Thank you Mikal for providing great service and a superior cabin for us to have our family reunion.

My sons and I enjoyed our stay. The place has everything you would want including comfortable beds, extra blankets, pillows, towels, books, videos, jacuzzi, W & D, and fireplace! No complaints at all. Just as it looks in photos. Very cozy and close enough to walk to lifts!! Can't wait to go back :)

We had a great time at "The Double B". The cabin was very spacious for our family of 5 and very clean. We had a great time just playing games and watching movies as well as playing in the snow in the spacious backyard. It was convenient to get to Snow Summit and stores too. Definitely want to go back again!

I literally searched hundreds of listings before I decided on the Double B. It was perfect for our weekend getaway. First off, the location is great. It was easy to find even though we arrived after dark. It's more a home than a cabin, but it still has that rustic feel that you want in a mountain retreat. Most everything is updated, and it's tastefully decorated. Took advantage of the wonderful fireplace and hot tub. Definitely do the hot tub at night...the stars, the moon and the wind rustling through the trees. Heaven! The amenities like the iPod dock and lots of blankets were fantastic. We felt at home within minutes of settling in. There were only 2 of us, but the cabin can comfortably accommodate more. The owner was a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back!

We had a good time in your cabin. There was alot of snow in the front and back yard for us to play in. The jacuzzi was great. The cabin is spacious and the fire place was a plus. A Great Cabin for a Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at the Double B. It was a pleasant experience working with the owners. First entrance into the cabin was a cozy welcome. It was chilly our first night, and it did not take long to heat the cabin, especially the bedrooms -- quite toasty. The beds were comfortable. The cabin is spacious. We were there for one of our son's wedding, and we found the cabin to perfectly fit our needs. It is located in a lovely area and is close to many things such as the village, the lake, grocery stores, post office and more. If we return to Big Bear Lake, which is a beautiful area, we'll look forward to renting the Double B.

We found this rental online and were extremely impressed with the cabin and it's owners! The cabin is well laid out and stocked with almost anything needed for a memorable stay! It's close to any shops, restaurants and stores needed----yet is situated on a very quiet street and very close to the slopes. We were 3 adults and two small children and the kids had a great time in the bedroom with bunk beds and toys! There are two bathrooms as well as a washer/dryer and a wonderful patio with jacuzzi out back. Loads of books, movies. boardgames and horseshoes for the backyard. We didn't use the B-B-Q on our visit, but it would be great to sit at the table and chairs on the patio and enjoy the squirrels and birds!! Mikal was very attentive and quick to respond to my emails and questions. He is really a host that cares about his cabin and how it is enjoyed! Hope to return in the near future and have another memorable adventure!!

wonderful place, very roomy, well equipped and maintained. especially good for kids with playroom with playstation and endless board games and reading material. convenient to downtown and area attractions. we stayed in summer, and still enjoyed the jacuzzi, but can picture it being ideal in winter too, with lots of extra blankets abounding. on demand tv in living room was good, but tv in back bedroom and also the playstation remotes were missing or had dead batteries rendering them unusable. overall great stay, and would definetly stay again.

my friends and i are in college and we wanted to somewhere that was decent and cheap. the neighborhood of this cabin looks kind of messy but the inside is great! it is really big and spacious and it has everything you need. it was a great deal to rent this cabin and i will rent this place again next year. totally worth every penny.

Clean & Cozy!

This was a very clean and cozy cabin. It is a spacious 3BR/2BA home with vaulted ceilings, fireplace, washer/dryer and central heat. The only complaint we had was the king and queen beds were a little firm, and the twin beds had dips in them. The owner stated that they do need to be replaced. The rent was very reasonable, and we will be back again.

Amazing Weekend!

My family and I stayed in this cute cabin for the weekend. It was great, it snowed overnight and was only a couple blocks away from summit! It was so convenient and had everything we needed. Would definately stay here again!

Had a wonderful time. We had 4 children ages 2-12 and they played in the yard all day! Great place to walk and close to stores.
