Description of the Big Bear Lake vacation cabin rental

Walk to Snow Summit and minutes to Bear Mountain, Big Bear Lake, and and Big Bear Village. Beautifully furnished, spacious 4-bedroom, 4-bath, plus Game Room tri-level cabin with pool table, foosball, and electronic darts. Nicely decorated, wood-burning fireplace, including full kitchen including convection oven, separate dining room with expandable 102" table. There is high-speed wireless Internet access and flat-screen HD TV with BluRay player. Cable TV's/DVDs/VCRs, with premium cable channels, indoor washer/dryer, three decks with gas BBQ on the main deck. We are located on a private cul-de-sac road. Great slopes for sledding during winter months,and near hiking/bicycling trails during summer months. Beautiful forest views, and a great place to have lots of fun and relax.

Area Information

Big Bear Lake offers many amenities, including Meadow Park with swimming beach, tennis courts, sports fields, fishing pier and play area. You will find several boat docks at the lake. Take wake boarding lessons, water-ski, and many water sports. There are many bicycle trails and access to the Town Trail is just adjacent to the cabin. There are two shopping centers with Von's and Stater Brothers, K-Mart, Walgreens, CVS and Rite-Aid. We can WALK TO SNOW SUMMIT ski area and are minutes to Bear Mountain, Big Bear Lake and Big Bear Village. Also, the cabin is very close to shopping, restaurants, golf, fishing, boating, miniature golf, zoo, and movie theaters.

Great place for Extended family

Of course it is walking distance to the slopes. The home was in great condition. Amenities where well kept. Plenty of space for 2-3 families. Mary Ellen was easy to work with. We did feel a bit rushed with the 10AM check out. We will stay here again.

Owner's reply:

We normally allow our guests to arrive as early as they wish and leave much later on the departure date; however, with the holiday rush we were booked back-to-back and had to prepare the cabin for the next guest. So sorry Jeff - but glad you and your family had a great time at the cabin.

Great trip with family and friends

We took my 11 year old son and a group of friends snowboarding for the weekend and "steps to summit" was the perfect place for us. The house easily accommodated our large group without anyone feeling cramped. Great game room and bedroom for kids on the bottom floor and three bedrooms for adults on the top floor. Plenty of bathrooms as well. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay - plenty of dishes, cookware, extra blankets etc. The kids loved the big hills and areas to explore right across the street. I also appreciated all of my interactions with the owner, Mary Ellen. She was easily accessible, answered all of our questions and was very kind. Overall, wonderful experience. Our children can't wait to return!

No Cabin Fever Here

A quiet family get together was just what the doctor had ordered for overworked students, parents, and even kids. Steps-2-Summit was located on a serene private road, complete with a gorgeous kitchen, breathtaking view, and a pool table that probably saw more action in our two days there than it ever has. We could have explored the calm, beautiful town of Big Bear Lake and driven on more of the winding roads that were hidden in plain sight, but we were content with just relaxing and watching a movie as a family here and there. We would definitely book again.

Steps-2-Summit is an amazing family vacation experience in this beautiful home. Walk to ski resort, sledding outside the door, peace and quiet, surrounded by trees and views.....truly heaven on earth.
