The cabin was exactly like the pictures. Lots of space, we were a group of 10 w/children. Excellent kids/game room for them down stairs while the others shared the other 2 bedrooms(would recommend a sleeper sofa though). Hot tub was clean, heater worked great, close to main big bear street...all around had an excellent time! Definetly would rent again...good/fast communications with owner, thank you

We really struggled finding a cabin the day after Xmas, so we just took this one. Overall, it worked for our party of 7. There were enough beds for all of us. The cabin itself was missing numerous blinds, and was pretty run down but was clean. Also, hot water ran out pretty quick so take short showers. Hot tub was great, being close to Cicle K was awesome, but the traffic getting into Big Bear took about 45 each way. Brutal! If you are looking for an average cabin w/all the ammenities this is it. The managers were helpful and very nice. Oh, also there is no WiFi but I guess in the mountains you shouldn't need it right?

The cabin was wonderful! I selected Sugar Bear to celebrate my 30th birthday weekend and couldn't have been more pleased. The cabin had everything we needed and was very homey.

Sugarbear is a great cabin for families. It has amenities to entertain the children such as video games, pool table, children's dvds and tapes, books, and foosball table. For the adults, it has two fireplaces and a hot tub. I love that there are three bathrooms, a washer, and a dryer. Carol was very helpful and accomodating. She provided me updates on the driving conditions plus the conditions in Big Bear. We will definitely rent Sugarbear cabin again when we return to Big Bear.

We had a group of 8 staying in this cabin. There were definitely enough beds for all of us and we really enjoyed the hot tub after a long day on the slopes. We only had a few issues. First, we had was that there weren't clear instructions on the hot tub; for future renters, there is a combination lock on the hot tub that you unlock. Second, the living area was a bit small - specifically, the kitchen was pretty tiny. Third, although we enjoyed the foosball table, we didn't realize it was a tabletop one and therefore smaller than normal. However, the cabin was very cozy and we loved our stay there. I'd recommend it for groups of 8 only if they have kids, or else it might be too small. For smaller groups, this is definitely a nice stay.

Overall it wasnt a bad experience however, the games like pool table and ping pong and air hockey etc, was not what we expected. The heater didnt work the first night and everyone was freezing. it was 3 bedrooms however one of the rooms did not have a door so it lacked privacy. One of the showers had very low water pressure and took a while to get warm. These were a few issues we had which made it difficult and dissapointing for some of the people staying with us that weekend.

This cabin was wonderful for our family vacation. Clean and comfortable. We loved the Hot Tub and the game table for the kids. The loved the foosball and pool table. Lots of hiking right across the street. The owner gave us some great dining tips. Thanks we will be back again. Maybe in the winter.
