This 1950's vintage cabin sits right across the street from the lake with a beautiful lake view, in the very upscale, exclusive area of Boulder Bay. Bear Mountain Ski Resort and Snow Summit Ski Resort offer skiing and snowboarding for the entire family. *Magic Mountain has the snow play hill and Apine Slide, as well as 2 water slides (seasonal), mini-golf and go carts. *Magic Mountain begins in mid November making snow to help mother nature, guaranteed to add to your winter fun no matter what mother nature on her own provides.***BLACK DIAMOND LODGE IS VERY CLOSE TO THIS AREA****
The lake itself offers a multitude of options for water skiing, boating, canoeing, parasailing, jet-skiing, fishing, and more. There are boat tours on the Sierra Belle and our very own pirate ship named the "Time Bandit". Lots of Marinas to dock your boat or rent a variety of boats. My family- (husband, wife, our 3 boys and our golden retriever) just returned from this cabin at Big Bear- we had a GREAT time. The cabin is on a very quiet street in a nice neighborhood- perfect for long walks. The weather was PERFECT- we actually saw the colors of many trees change ( autumn) during our stay. We ate on the front porch every night and enjoyed the nice view. Lots of room in the back for our dog to run around. Cabin was homey & comfortable- not too fancy with 3 boys so worked well for us. Tons of blankets and pillows to keep everyone warm at night. We would certainly stay here again. Thanks you!  more...

The cabin exceeded our expectations and we had a great time. It is close to the village and the ski resorts and is located on a very quiet street near the lake. It is the perfect place for a family or small group of friends to have a retreat...including a fenced in backyard for the dog. The kitchen was nicely equipped and the living room and bedrooms were comfortably furnished. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!  more...

Theresa, your cabin was wonderful! My family and I spend 5 nights there with our dogs and had the best time. Your cabin was very homey, everything you could expect from a mountain cabin. It took us no time to get settled in an it felt like we were right at home. The fireplace was the center of all activities, I think our dogs liked it the best..warming their bellies! We had a wonderful stay at Black Diamond Lodge. We were there during the end of September, and minus the freak storm that passed, we had a blast. The kitchen was great and had tons of room to make some great food. The jacuzzi was great and the game room was fun during the evenings with our friends. Well it has been exactly one week since we left Black Diamond Lodge and I have been going through withdrawals! We were there for one month and treasured every minute. I read 6 Novels almost entirely on the front deck! After picking up some wild bird feed and filling the Lodge's feeders we were treated to many beautiful BlueJays, Woodpeckers, Red Winged Black birds, Chickadees as well as Chipmunks and Grey Squirrels. Not only was the bird watching fun for the human guests but Lizzie our Yellow Lab was kept busy for hours! This was the first of our 9 years coming to Big Bear Lake for the summer that we found a place to stay that met the whole families needs. The kitchen had everything we needed including a dishwasher! Not only did the two bathrooms have great water pressure, but we never ran out of hot water! The fireplace was dreamy, it did get cool enough a few times to fire it up. The fact that there was a play station for our daughter was a plus. We loved watching movies from your extensive DVD library. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed playing cards at the dining room table and my husband was actually able to work, thanks to the Cabin having high speed Internet access. We can hardly wait to come back next year to ride our bikes to Blanca and Pierres for the best burgers! Theresa, THANK YOU for this amazing cabin getaway!! My family had a great time fishing and exploring Big Bear. The fishing was great we caught in the 8 days we stayed over 30 trout! The location at the lake was perfect for the kids and us to take walks with the dogs in the evening. This cabin was everything as promised and described.
