Write a review Wow! We had an awesome time at your cabin! There was so much snow it was hard to find it from the street. If we went back in the summer I don't think we'd recognize it. Our kids had a fabulous time playing out in the snow, and making smores by the fireplace at night. The cabin is very well kept, clean and cozy!! Our oldest son missed out because he had finals at school and had to stay home, but he is planning on going next time to check out the snowboarding! We can't wait to go back! We had such a wonderful time in this cabin. We stayed at another nice place last year, but we enjoyed this cabin much more. The location is great. It is close to everything. It has a flat driveway with carport which is very important! We were nice and cozy during the 30 year storm. We celebrated our daughters fifth birthday while we were there. She loved it and didn't want to leave. She skied for the first time and we all went sleding just across the street from the cabin. It was great and we shall return. We just loved it! Thank you for sharing your home and for taking such good care of us during our stay. The cabin was very cozy and beautiful! We all loved it. It was only steps away from the lake which was so nice to see. We booked the cabin over a year ago for our Christmas vacation. Trying to find a property with a fully enclosed yard was most important for our two dogs, and we were not disappointed! Theresa arranged everything perfectly for us, the wood was all there, chopped up, ready to go (bring an axe to chop smaller for the fire), the Christmas tree was up and lit in the corner! We had a revolving door of guest throughout our stay, and Theresa made sure we had clean sheets and towels for our changeover :-) We really couldn't have asked for more! If you are going to stay in and cook, which is what we did for the entire stay, I suggest bringing a better potato peeler, and a kettle - instead of boiling water on the stove in a saucepan. The dogs had a great time, and were able to roam happily in the back yard, and were tormented by the squirrels every morning as they looked to the front. Their favorite spot was in front of the constant fire we had going. We will be back to stay at Black Diamond, and I have recommended it to friends who also have dogs as a very friendly place to stay. Theresa checked in on us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, made us feel very welcome. You'll not find a better cabin, this isn't our first time renting in Big Bear, but it will be the first property we return too. Thank you for making our Christmas holiday so special! We were very pleased with the cabin. It was so cozy and roomy. The yard was huge and great to play with the grandkids outside. We plan on making Black Diamond cabin a family tradition. Bring extra towels thats all! My family and I found your accommodations excellent. You had provided a location and atomosphere of family during the Thanksgiving holiday. The proximity of Big Bear Lake, and being far enough off the main highway provided the quietness of the wilderness and on top of that, getting to experience the first snow of the season. Needless to say the snow cap off one of the best Thanksgiving holidays I have ever experienced. I want to thank you again for a wonderful and fabulous weekend. Wonderful cabin, had everything we needed. Decorated beautifully. Would rent again. Unfortunately fishing was poor, but still had a blast renting a Pontoon boat. This wsa the most relaxing weekend I've had in a long time! Everything about this place was great! The location, the fire place, the porch, I could go on and on. Cant wait to go back! Didn't have to worry about anything. Was easy to book, great customer service and very helpful. The cabin was extreamly home! I am so glad we found the Black Diamond Lodge at the last minute before our trip! Our stay there was wonderful, the cabin was so so cozy and perfect, exactly what we were looking for and without any hassle as far as booking and check in/check out! The price was amazing too! I just want to thank the owners for all the extra personal touches this cabin offered! The beds were ridiculously comfortable and everything clean! Thanks! We had the best honeymoon at this awesome cabin. It was my first time in Big Bear and we had a blast. The house was comfortable and very clean (which I am super picky about), Theresa left flowers, champagne, and plenty of firewood for us, and was available to take our calls to answer all of our questions before during and after our stay. We loved Big Bear Lake and we will definitely return, and I can't imagine staying anywhere but Black Diamond. Thank you again Theresa for helping us have such a special honeymoon. We had a wonderful time here! The cabin is so warm and cozy and had everything we needed (great towels, kitchen supplies, etc). The kids loved the backyard and collecting pine cones. We especially loved bringing our dogs! The owner is wonderful and so easy to work with. We plan on going back again for certain! We just returned from 3 wonderful days at Theresa's cozy cabin. My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to take our daughter and her family to rest after completing her chemo therapy for breast cancer. Black Diamond Lodge was the perfect choice. We went for walks, took the kids fishing and just enjoyed each others company. The attention to detail was very much appreciated. The cabin was clean and very roomy. The bathrooms were large with great showers.My only suggestion would be a few more towels. What a suprise the kitchen was. Stocked with spices, coffee, hot chocolate,and popcorn. Everything we needed and more. The DVD collection, the game table, internet connection, and 3 TV's kept everyone (including 4 young children)happy. My dog ,who was a last minute addition,loved the fenced yard, as did the kids. We are already planning a return trip. Thanks for a great time! Very comfortable retreat for our family of 5. We had plenty of snow during our stay, and the big yard and quiet street were great for my kids. The cabin had nearly all the amenities we needed (a washer/dryer would have made it PERFECT) and it felt like home away from home. We will definitely stay at Black Diamond again! We had a great time at Black Diamond Lodge. The furnishings were comfortable and cabiny. We only had one issue and it was dealt with promptly and caused us no difficulties at all. Wow is the only word that comes to mind when we think of our Christmas stay at the Black Diamond Lodge. We had such a great time. The whole family was able to get together and share a white Christmas. The cabin is beautiful. The cabinets were stocked with all the essentials. The fireplace was a great gathering place. The ski slopes were so close. My son and his friends were able to get in 2 days of snowboarding. We plan on making Big Bear a Christmas tradition from now on. Thanks Bensons for creating a a wonderful memory. Just came back from Halloween weekend in Big Bear. We stayed at the Black Diamond Lodge and had a very relaxing time. The cabin is warm and clean and very cozzy. Very dog friendly. We were happy to have the fenced in yard and our dogs loved the freedom. We had some stormy weather and were very happy to be able to sit by the fire and listen to the rain. Over all I'd say we had a great experience and we're looking forward to coming back and spending more time in the peaceful woods. The owners were extremely accommodating and made themselves available to answer all our questions. Thanks for providing a great space to relax and recharge. The cabin was very comforatble, clean and welcoming. We had 4 adults and 4 children under 6 with us and the cabin was perfect. It was great to have a fenced backyeard for the kids and the location was perfect for getting around town. We hope to return next year. This is a great cabin overlooking the lake. Just a short drive to all the shops and restaurants. And we found some great ones!!! The neighbors were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. My husband and I stayed at the cabin for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. It was so relaxing! We took walks, sat out on the deck, watched movies, cooked and read. It was really chilly so we were able to have a fire every night! We are already checking our calendars to find out when we can come up again. My family- (husband, wife, our 3 boys and our golden retriever) just returned from this cabin at Big Bear- we had a GREAT time. The cabin is on a very quiet street in a nice neighborhood- perfect for long walks. The weather was PERFECT- we actually saw the colors of many trees change ( autumn) during our stay. We ate on the front porch every night and enjoyed the nice view. Lots of room in the back for our dog to run around. Cabin was homey & comfortable- not too fancy with 3 boys so worked well for us. Tons of blankets and pillows to keep everyone warm at night. We would certainly stay here again. Thanks you! The cabin exceeded our expectations and we had a great time. It is close to the village and the ski resorts and is located on a very quiet street near the lake. It is the perfect place for a family or small group of friends to have a retreat...including a fenced in backyard for the dog. The kitchen was nicely equipped and the living room and bedrooms were comfortably furnished. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks! It was a wonderful 3-day weekend getaway for us (and the family dog!). The cabin is so comfortable with a terrific layout. We appreciated the attention to detail and felt welcomed upon our arrival by the firewood,wine,and hot cocoa. The boys loved the place and felt right at home. Thanks again Well it has been exactly one week since we left Black Diamond Lodge and I have been going through withdrawals! We were there for one month and treasured every minute. I read 6 Novels almost entirely on the front deck! After picking up some wild bird feed and filling the Lodge's feeders we were treated to many beautiful BlueJays, Woodpeckers, Red Winged Black birds, Chickadees as well as Chipmunks and Grey Squirrels. Not only was the bird watching fun for the human guests but Lizzie our Yellow Lab was kept busy for hours! This was the first of our 9 years coming to Big Bear Lake for the summer that we found a place to stay that met the whole families needs. The kitchen had everything we needed including a dishwasher! Not only did the two bathrooms have great water pressure, but we never ran out of hot water! The fireplace was dreamy, it did get cool enough a few times to fire it up. The fact that there was a play station for our daughter was a plus. We loved watching movies from your extensive DVD library. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed playing cards at the dining room table and my husband was actually able to work, thanks to the Cabin having high speed Internet access. We can hardly wait to come back next year to ride our bikes to Blanca and Pierres for the best burgers! Every time friends came over they would look around and say," How did you find such a cute place? - its adorable". Thank you for having us! The Flanagan Family. The location at the lake was perfect for the kids and us to take walks with the dogs in the evening. This cabin was everything as promised and described. Hi Theresa - Thank you so much! The cabin had everything we needed...comfy beds, stocked kitchen, soft linens, Internet access, and the list goes on! We typically stay in hotels when we travel, but this was so much better! We could spread out all our stuff, make meals in the gourmet kitchen, and just unwind in front of the fire with a big bowl of popcorn. And my six year old daughter fell in love with the chubby squirrels that live in the big tree out front. We will definitely be back!! Take care - Meredith Manning

Our stay was lovely and the cabin is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely the type of place I would like. I really like the one story as well. We have been going up to Big Bear for over 14 years, staying mostly at the same place for the past 3, but needed bigger space this time, so we were a little nervous.... but very pleased, the cabin is lovely. This was our first attempt at taking our two labradors (ages 8 months and 9 months) and the cabin is definitely dog friendly. I would definitely recommend Black Diamond Lodge to friends and family!

Our stay was absolutly marvelous!! This cabin has treated us very well. It was cozy and comfortable and at the same time very convienent. Very quiet neighborhood and awesome location right next to the lake. I'll be planning on coming back to the same cabin if all goes well next winter and maybe even in the summer!

We had a great girls weekend in this beautiful cabin in Big Bear. We had a special request for martini glasses and mixer and it was provided. All six of us got to relax have a martini or two, take a walk by the lake and watch a great selection of movies. Popcorn, coco and candy was available to us also. This is a great place. We will let friends know about this place.
