Our Hideaway is unique from most Big Bear Lake vacation homes, we sit on a large double tweeded lot for privacy.

We are centrally located, close to everything. Big Bear
Lake is 8 blocks away, the National Forest is 3 blocks away
The Village Shopping Center is 5 minutes away.

with romantic lighting, a NEW outdoor surround sound stereo,privacy fencing around the hot tub,, we offer romance package(s) that include's
Pre-lit fireplace, Pre-lit candles, Real red rose petals placement on bed, table,pathway to the hot tub,

"song playing" for the ultimate romantic surprice with

While you are relaxing in the outdoor hot tub, all you will see is many stars, mountain views, and trees, you will not see other homes or people.

Our Enchanting Hideaway is not your typical vacation rental, with
a floor to ceiling fireplace, vaulted ceilings & real wood floors. The main bedroom has a pillowtop queen bed with
stereo.

The private bedroom retreat allows plenty of privacy mixed in with good memories. the retreat has 1.5 bath, fireplace, high def t.v. with cable,dvd player and ipod dock, this floor plan is perfect for couples traveling.

Our Hideaway sits on a large double lot. The neighborhood is on a quite cult de sac. We are 4 blocks from the National Forest and 1 mile from Big Bear Lake. We are minutes away from many restaurants and
shopping.

This cabin is even more beautiful than the photos show so, everything was perfect and mi overall experience was better than expected!! I will very likely use this website for future vacations!!! Thanks to the owner Kassie for make everithing easy for me!!

What an amazing time! The cabin was a great place to get away and relax. It was easily accessible off the main road, but still quiet enough as it was in a residential neighborhood. The jacuzzi was amazing! The fireplace and interior was beautiful. We found everything we needed and more, all at our disposal! And I can't complain about the price either- what a bargain!

Upon driving up to this property, it was exactly how it appears in the ad: quaint and charming with details of whimsy running throughout it's interior, including the stone fireplace, little white lights at the ceiling and even a picture of 'Hansel and Gretel' on the wall. We thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi, the barbeque -- and the well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare our meals there. It's not more than anyone needs (I would call it "just right". Hmmm...wonder where I came up with THAT phrase) but if "cabin fever" gets you, just step outside and sit on on the swing. We took our Pomeranians for a walk in the quiet neighborhood and were greeted warmly by the few residents we saw. The Village is nearby -- and the marina -- so there's plenty to do but we ended up cancelling our pontoon boat ride and opted to stay within the comfort of the cabin instead. We would suggest doing as we did: if you're going to "get away from it all" then just stay and relax in the cabin and simply go where the day leads you. We were surpised at how cool the cabin stayed in late July, making it even easier to not want to tread away from it for too long. We did venture into the village for a bite to eat one afternoon -- a few pros and cons there: If you have furry loved ones as we do, there are places with patios you can eat at where dogs are allowed to accompany you. Several businesses provide bowls of water outside for dogs including the Visitor's Center, which we stopped at before checking in at 'Hansel & Gretel' just to get the lay of the land. 'Jack & Jill's' Sweet Shop in The Village even sell little bags of homemade dog treats -- very dog-friendly cabin & community! :) The cons we found were that the reservations for boats/activities fill up fast at the marina (and are pricey to boot!) and if you choose to eat out in The Village, we couldn't find any restaurants that offer free refills for soft drinks (the norm elsewhere), even on the warm summer day we were there. All the more reason to settlle into your fairytale paradise at 'Hansel & Gretel' and simply enjoy your time there! :) Kassie couldn't have been more helpful and was happy to answer all my questions. I would ask any and all future visitor's to kindly leave 'Hansel and Gretel' as you find it in return for the kindness you will find from Kassie; she made good on her promise of a deposit refund. If dreams are a wish your heart makes, then our heart's wishes came true at 'Hansel & Gretel'. :) Thanks, Kassie
