‘Relax This Season’

CABIN BENEFITS

The Great Room features wood beams across the vaulted pine-knot ceiling and a large, comfy sectional sofa in front of the wood burning fireplace - maybe roast marshmallows tonight? This room also includes the 32' cable TV and DVD player with a 80+ movie library, high speed internet, fun board games and jig-saw puzzles.

We have received great reviews on our kitchen which offers new appliances: dishwasher, range, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and blender and is also fully stocked with new cookware, utensils, and dishes to make your stay feel like a home away from home – perfect for cook-outs and large family dinners!

Through the Kitchen Door, on the side deck, your catch of the day or favorite food sizzles on the grill while you enjoy the lake, mountains and tall pines – there is nothing like the fresh smell of pine trees and listening to the breeze through the pines. The side deck leads to the spacious back yard that invites lots of fun play including sledding and building snow-people when nature brings in her snow.

After a full day of fun, the spa sits on the covered deck with lake and mountain views ready to bubble your aches from the day away. Or, relax on the wood rockers or wood slider on the front deck and watch the colors of the sunset at play on the lake while the ducks chatter about their day’s activities. Life, as you had known it only minutes earlier, looks and feels quite spectacularly different. In the Great Room enjoy the roaring fire in the fireplace to roast marshmallows then before retiring to bed, turn the electric blankets to preheat making your bed cozy and ready to take you to your sugar plum dreams.

The Master Bedroom with King Bed has an adjoining bath, walk in closet, and sliding glass door to the deck and views of the lake and mountains. It also has a 27' TV with cable and DVD player. The kids’ favorite is the bunk room with a bunk bed - twin upper and double lower, a separate twin bed, and a TV with DVD player. The Queen Bedroom has the spacious Queen Bed and wall to wall closet.

FUN STUFF CLOSE BY (Live Like A Local Activities)

BIG BEAR MARINA is about 1/2 block away (400 feet). The Marina offers lake tours and rents out kayaks, jet skis, boats, etc. Public Lake access is available right next to this marina where I've taken my grandson fishing and he caught a big one!

PINE KNOT MARINA is only a 10 min walk away where you’ll find paddle boat tours, para-sailing and, of course, rents jet skis and boats. Guests have remarked about the fun they have enjoyed here.

The BOWLING BARN is a couple of blocks away with Large Screen Sports TV, Pool Tables, Arcade Games and, of course, Bowling. Glow Bowling is especially fun that kicks off at 8:30p (Mon-Fri) and 7:30p (Sat-Sun).

THE VILLAGE is a couple of blocks away (my 85 yr old mom walks it in 15 min) and is always a fun place to hang out with its arcades, shops, restaurants and ice cream & candy store. The Village also offers a movie theater with 3 screens showing current attractions.

ALPINE SLIDE is ~ 1 mile away (2 min drive). In the summer, it is a very popular place to stay cool in its water slide and also has go-carts, miniature golf and the bobsled. In the winter, the crazy fun is to slide down the snow covered hill in truck size inner tubes and also enjoy the bobsleds.

MEADOW PARK is a little further away - maybe a 5 min drive - popular for its swim beach, tennis courts, and volleyball sand court.

SUMMIT SKY CHAIR, another quick 5 min drive, takes you from 7000 base to 8200 feet in the summer. They have the summer trails set up for the mountain biking or explore the hiking trails or just walk around and enjoy the scenery. Of course, in the winter it is a skier's and snow boarder's paradise.

The DISCOVERY CENTER, run by the Forest Service, provides hiking permits and offers, for a low cost, kayaking and canoe tours, and craft classes for kids; for free, forest classes. It is located across the lake on north shore.

MOONRIDGE ANIMAL PARK, about a 10 min drive, is home to artic animals no longer able to live in the wild. Mama Grizzly and her 2 children were relocated from Yellowstone after they received 3 strikes for stealing easy access food are an example of the interesting animals in this park located across the street from Bear Mountain.

Guests have shared their horseback riding fun at BALDWIN STABLES about a 20 min drive from the cabin. They thought it was the best.

We came up to Big Bear for a President's day weekend. While there was no snow in Big Bear that weekend, the cabin itself was great. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. and we definitely enjoyed the spa. Overall amazing experience with no complaints. It's fairly close to the marina/water. I'd love to come back during the summer months.

This is the 2nd time our family has stayed here and it was just as perfect as the last time. The cabin is just beautiful with updated top of the line appliances which definately make your stay easier. The thing I really enjoyed since it was so cold out was the hot tub, the heated lamp in the master bathroom and the heated blankets. We just had such an amazing time, playing games, watching the extensive library of movies, enjoying the sunrise over the lake from the front porch, and warming up by the fire. We walked to the village to enjoy the Christmas lights and just had a really great time together as a family.

Thank you so much!!!!!

We recently took a long weekend for Octoberfest and stayed at the 4 Seasons of fun. It was a great spot for our family vacation. It was the perfect location. We walked to the marina a rented a boat for a few hours. We walked into the village and shopped. There are so many great restaurants all within walking distance We had plenty of room, the kitchen was well stocked and the appliances new. It included everything we could have wanted. Linens, extra blankets & sheets, shampoo and lotion. We loved the jacuzzi and the fireplace was nice too. We even got lucky and had a bit of snow when we arrived. We did everything by email and just picked up our key. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Our kids asked if we could make this our new "tradition". We will definately be coming back again.

The cabin was everything they said it would be. It was within walking distance to the Marina, where we kept our boat. We walked to the village to shop and have lunch. We even walked to a restaurant for dinner one night. We especially enjoyed the mornings sitting in the living room having our coffee, chatting and watching the sun come up. The views from the deck and the living room are wonderful. We definitely plan to stay at 4 Seasons of Fun again!

My husband and I stayed at the cabin for a 3-night reunion weekend with 2 friends that we have not seen in some time, and their 2 small girls (ages 1 and 3). We could not have asked for a better location or more comfortable accommodation. The cabin is located close enough to the village that even the three-year-old could walk into town (and regularly asked if we could go back for more ice cream!), yet is located on a quiet street with a view of the lake from the front porch. The bedrooms were perfectly arranged so that everyone had plenty of space to be together without invading each other's privacy. The kitchen was well-stocked beyond our expectations, with high-end appliances, a well-functioning gas grill on an adjacent porch, and excellent laundry facilities. We had a great weekend boating, hiking, barbecuing, walking around the village, and catching up on the front porch. We can't wait to go back!

Our recent five day stay in Big Bear at 4 Seasons of Fun was wonderful. We took our 13 year old grandson with us, and we were all sorry to see our time in Big Bear come to an end. The cabin was perfect. There was plenty of room, even when we had visitors on two different days. The kitchen is better equipped than my kitchen at home. The best part of the cabin, by far, is the front porch. Many hours were spent on that porch in the rocking chairs reading and enjoying the lake view. We also took advantage of the hot tub several times a day. We kept busy kayaking in Fawnskin, enjoying the alpine Slide, playing golf on the beautiful course and discovering little places to eat. We would definitely stay at this home away from home again.

We stayed with our 2 kids(ages 5&12) and our friends who have kids of the same age and it was PERFECT! The location was great, with the marina down the street for kayak and boating rentals and a stroll to the village. Everything we wanted to do was within a 10-20 minute drive. LOVED all the new appliances and back and front porches! The hot tub on the front porch is in a perfect location, so the adults could sit, enjoy the view of the lake and watch the little ones! There was plenty of space for us, the house was cozy we all felt like we were home. I especially loved that the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with so many amenities to list. We literally brought our food and that was all that was needed! Can't wait to stay here again! Had such a GREAT family getaway!

My best friends and I stayed three nights and had a great time. The cabin has everything that you need for a relaxing holiday. The beds are comfortable. It is very quiet. We enjoyed the spa on the deck with views of the lake across the street. It is an easy walk to the village - we took a morning walk there every morning. The kitchen is fully stocked with all that one needs to prepare meals. We made two dinners, one using the BBQ and we had a delicious dinner at the Peppercorn Grille. There is a library of DVDs with a good selection of titles. The highlight of the trip was a helicopter tour of the lake. We plan on going back soon. I have nothing but high praise.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend after my graduation. It was the perfect cabin. The location is great! Super close to everything! The village, where all the shops are, the zoo, the lake, the marina, the movie theater, bowling, anything you could possibly think of! The owners were really nice and made us feel very welcome with their note on the chalkboard when we arrived and the email I was sent before with a list of recommended activities. We couldn't have made a better choice of where to stay for our trip! We look forward to returning soon!

My wife and I stayed for the weekend with two other couples and we all really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is in the perfect location, walking distance to the Village and Marina. The cabin is spacious and is full of the essentials and some. Sharon the owner even left us a gift basket with treats, toys, and other useful items. Each room was fully stocked with many towels and extra blankets. We also took advantage of the stainless steel BBQ grill out on the second deck. I highly reccommend renting this property. I will definitely be renting this property again in the future.

Thanks Sharon!

My husband and I stayed here with our two kids (2 & 4), along with their grandparents. The moment we entered the cabin our kids were crazy excited to find a gift basket with fun toys/items for them. There was plenty of room for all of us and the kids just loved their room (bunk bed and their own TV).

The house is just a few blocks from the village. It is very convenient to be in such close proximity to the shops, restaurants, and the marina. It is a very cozy place, but spacious. The kitchen has most of the basics you'd need (salt, pepper, coffee filters, etc.), which helped us save on our grocery bill.

When we checked out, my son accidently left his hotwheels in the house. I notified the owner and vacation rental company. When the cleaning crew found the toys, the rental company was kind enough to mail them out to us. Needless to say we were very grateful and would definitely recommend this place! You won't be disappointed.

Brought my hubby and 2 boys (4,1) here for a birthday suprise and we couldnt be happier. We come to Big Bear a couple times a year trying different cabins each time but after staying at 4 Seasons of Fun we will not be renting any other cabin if we can help it! It has a gorgeous deck complete with a spa that you can relax in while looking at the lake. All of the rooms have ample room and my 4 year old was really into the bunk bed! The master bedroom is huge with a king size bed and all of the beds have delicious heated blankets. We loved sitting in front of the fire playing go fish. The kitchen was so well stocked that there wasnt anything we didnt need. The appliances are all top of the line and there is a front load washer/dryer for you convienance as well as a gas grill! The best part for a mom of a 1 year old who is walking is that besides the stairs to enter the cabin everything else is a single story and the fireplace is built raised into a mantle with a shelf so I didnt have to worry about the baby trying to reach in there and we could enjoy a fire all weekend long. The cabin is close to everything! Thanks to 4 seasons of fun our weekend was sheer perfection. To top it all off Sharon left us an awesome gift basket with essentials and fun stuff for the kids. She even had a Birthday baloon and a birthday message on the chalkboard. It was such a great personal touch and shows that she is really into making your stay special. One thing we regrett is not coming up with another family. For a family of four where 2 of them are pint sized meant a lot of open space. Thsi cabin is really large and can fit 8 adults comfortably. We will definately be bringing others to enjoy in the experiance next time.

The cabin is located just across the street from Big Bear Lake with a great view of the water and boating activities. That's what we like.

There is a long front porch to just sit and relax. Inside the cabin (more like a home) are all the comforts any one would need for a week end or a week, Plenty of room with modern conveniences. We can walk to town in about 7 minutes.

This was our second stay here and we look forward to coming back soon.

This was a perfect cabin for my husband and I and our 2 young kids. The cabin was large, with a great layout. We loved eating breakfast looking out over the lake, and sitting on the porch in the late afternoon. Our toddler was entertained by the books and toys, and a booster seat and pack and play were provided. After the kids went to sleep, my husband and I relaxed in the hot tub off the master bedroom. We walked down to the lake to feed the ducks, and the village is right there too. Really perfect location.

The property was very clean and well-maintained, with tons of pots and pans, condiments, silverware, utensils, soap, towels, blankets, and even a great welcome basket--everything you could want.

The owner was super-responsive. A great experience all around!

This review is a long time coming. I had booked this cabin two years ago for a chance for me and my best friend to just unwind from the daily push and go. It was great to just hang out on the porch reading good books and talking, relaxing in the jacuzzi, catching up on our favorite missed tv episodes with a fire going, and having great meals prepared and eating while looking over lake and mountain views. It was a great time to just chill out and breathe some fresh air. Everything was provided that we needed, it was an awesome memorable time for us.

1 year ago my Father passed and it was a rough two year process in helping my mother to take care of him through his illness, so I thought it would be great to share my first experience with the cabin with my Mom. She jumped on the idea and Sharon was great in helping us to book a couple of days at a really good rate, we ended up booking three nights.

She fell in love with it! From just breathing in the scenery from the rocking chair on the porch, to relaxing in the jacuzzi, to having meals overlooking the lake and then warming up to fire at night, and then to morning walks into the village. She was so impressed with how everything was stocked and provided in the cabin and how close everything was from stores, to movie theatres to restaurants. We had a much needed healing and relaxing great time!

Thanks Sharon!

It was perfection! Just what I needed, rest and relaxation in a quiet beautiful place. Great view of the lake, nature (saw a bald eagle just across the street). Read for at least an hour a day in the spa right outside the master bedroom and gazing at the lake. Always felt safe with neighbors nearby yet private. Supplied with anything you might need even down to an emergency 'gift basket' with deodorant, toothbrush/paste, chapstick, etc. I will be back very soon. Thank you

Would go there again and would recommend it to anyone

My family and I stayed at the Four Seasons of Fun for six nights and we all enjoyed it. The view of the lake is pretty good. The cabin is across the street from the lake, but there is an empty lot, so you get a good view. You're also close enough to the village to walk. If you prefer to drive, then there is a visitors center and large parking lot on Bartlett. The cabin is roomy. There's a large living room with two couches. The master bedroom is large and the two other bedrooms are decent sized. The front deck is great with two rocking chairs and a two-seat glider so you can sit and watch the lake. The neighbors are very friendly. Several stopped to talk to me while I was sitting out on the deck. I suggest taking a boat cruise while you're here. There are three to choose from. You can get all sorts of brochures and information at the Visitors Center. Also, a couple of restaurants that I really enjoyed are: Captain's anchorage (be sure to make a reservation!); El Jacalito (in the village); Mountain Munchies (in Stater Bros. center -- huge sandwiches on homemade rolls); and Bear Belly Deli (again, huge sandwiches on homemade rolls).

We had a great stay at this cabin. The Cabin is within walking distance to lots of activities and comes well stocked with fun things for the kids to play with. We did stay there during one of the hottest days of the year, and the house does not have AC. But the house has a number of fans for each rooms. We'll try to come back when we go back to go skiing!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

Manager response: Hi Grace - Thank you for being our guest and leaving your nice review. Yes, even the mountains do have their hot days which is why we enjoy the cool lake breeze and lake view while sitting on the deck after a day of fun on the lake. We look forward to your return for fun on the slopes in the winter.

We have been going to Big Bear several times a year for many years. 4 Seasons of Fun is hands-down the best cabin we've ever stayed in. No mis-matched towels or cooking utensils, no dirty carpets or crusty bath tub grout, this place is clean and beautifully cared for. The cabin is roomy and the details are beautifully done. The mountain-style look and feel is everything we love in a mountain cabin.

Only two hours of driving from LA and we were in a perfect, relaxing retreat, sitting on teak rocking chairs on the front porch, with our feet up, sipping wine and watching the sun set over the lake. It was perfect for our long summer weekend. Within walking distance we could visit the marina, walk into town or hit-up our favorite Mexican restaurant for shrimp tacos and margaritas. And after a short drive we were at some of our favorite local hiking trails.

Truthfully, we are so thankful that we found a lovely cabin to rent in the future. No more nasty surprises when we walk in the door. We love Big Bear. We love sharing it with our family and friends. And we'll be coming back to 4 Seasons of Fun soon!

Loved the cabin and loved the location. The cabin was cozy and warm...a home away from home. It had alot of personal touches and was well maintained and clean. The beds were actually comfortable and the shared living space (great room & dining room) was open and inviting, it was perfect for a night of family games! Had a great time relaxing on the deck, lounging in the jacuzzi and watching fabulous 4th of July fireworks! Just across the street from the lake, and has a lake view, and waking distance to town. Have stayed in a few units on the lake and this was definately a favorite. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

This cabin was perfect for our Memorial Day weekend getaway! It is close to Big Bear Village but was still very quiet, had great views of the lake, and was waking distance to the marina. Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was the cleanliness. No indication of previous guests other than the adorable guestbook. I have stayed in many different rentals over the years, but never have they offered the hospitality that this cabin did. Games, movies, modern kitchen with all the necessities, brand new washer and dryer, hot tub, gas bbq grill, and very comfortable beds. Even though Big Bear has a lot to offer, my favorite activity was sitting on the front porch in one of the rocking chairs with a glass of wine and one of their comfy throw blankets. We will be back!

We came to Big Bear to ski and spend time with family and this was a great cabin for us. There was plenty of room for me, my husband, our children and grandchildren, inside and out. My grandsons eyed the goody basket right away and couldn't wait to dive in...what a nice surprise! We were pleasantly surprised with 1-1/2 feet of snow and spent lots of time in the big back yard playing in it. When we got too cold we spent good times in front of the fireplace warming up. We enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi, with the awesome lake views and the snow falling around us. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you Sharon for sharing your cabin with us!

This was our second trip to 4 Seasons of Fun, having had an amazing trip last year. We use this cabin as a reunion for five old friends. It has everything you need. The layout is good. You will enjoy the spa on the porch and the view of the lake is great. The cabin is in the ideal location. Quick walk to coffee shop and liquor store (always important). Little longer walk, but still very doable, into the Village. The cabin isn't posh but it isn't rundown either. It is very comfortable and feels like home. I hesitate to review, please I kind of want to keep it as a secret for us.

Loved the very quite and super efficient washing machine and dryer....used it everyday...The deck was very nice too with the hot tub. We were so blesses with 16 inches of snow the day we arrived. Cabins in Big Bear can be hit or miss. There's nothing like arriving, walking into the place you've rented and realizing instantly that you've maid a terrible mistake. There is nothing better however than arriving at a cabin that is so nice, well appointed and literally bursting with a very personal level of hospitality that I've never seen in a rental anywhere.

There was a small gift basket filled with 'freebie's' for us when we walked in. Including some food containers and a child's toothbrush and fluoride free toothpaste. All of the appliances were relatively new, including brand new, super quiet high end washer and dryer.

The cabin was clean and there were about 100 cataloged and labelled Dvd's with a bunch of family friendly ones too. Wifi as well. The spa is great and the porch is a great place to hang out. You can also walk to the village, the marina, bowling and more.

The kitchen was filled with everything any cook could every need as well.

There was even a beautiful seven or eight foot artificial Christmas tree and lighted garland for the hearth which gave it a cozy holiday feel at night.

It has all the amenities you need plus lots of extras that make your stay that much more enjoyable. We spent hours reading on the porch and looking at the gorgeous lake view, or relaxing in the jacuzzi, or watching a dvd on the super comfy couch! Plus, the location of the cabin couldn't be better. It's about a 2 minute walk to the marina and a 5 minute walk to the village. You have total access to restaurants, bars, shops, movie theaters and the bowling alley without ever getting in your car. We treasure the memories of the "cabin up North" from our youth. This comfortable house manages to keep the feel of a lake cabin while providing all the amenities of home---and more. The porch was a favorite spot to rock and enjoy the evening (before hopping in the jacuzzi). We even had a visit from a passing racoon.

Our grandsons (10 and 14) were never bored. They could walk across the road to the lake. The highlight of their vacation was a pontoon fishing trip that produced four beautiful trout, enough for the best meal of our stay. The downhill luge track was a big hit with them, too. We all enjoyed the remarkable wildlife rescue zoo which gave us an opportunity to see local wildlife up close and personal.

Big Bear is a delightful place in the summer. We appreciated how short a drive it takes to get away from it all in the la area. Not really "all"--- there's still big screen TV (in each bedroom, even), wireless access in the house and an amazingly well equipped kitchen.

We enjoyed our family vacation very much.

We just returned from 2 nights in this wonderful cabin & wished we could have stayed longer. We have been coming to Big Bear for many years now & have rented lots of different cabins/houses & this was one of our alltime favorite places to stay.

From the minute we walked in, it felt like home & was so clean & well taken care of & felt very welcoming. It felt like a home & not just a vacation rental that no one really cared about. The bathroom towels were shaped into animals & laid out on the bed--too cute!!

The location is perfect---so close to the Village & marina, but yet a very quiet street. The big porch with the glider & rocking chairs was wonderful & we spent a lot of time out there looking at the beautiful lake views. It was fun to see the horse & carriages come up the street too.

The jacuzzi was great & it was fun to sit out there & be able to enjoy the wonderful lake views. The water in the jacuzzi was nice & clean & fresh & not too full of chemicals.

The kitchen was wonderfully stocked with everything you need to fix all your meals there (if you want) & there is a great bbq on the deck also. The livingroom was stocked with lots of games, magazines & dvd's and there is also wireless internet. Plus you get to look out at the lake from the wall of big windows in the livingroom & kitchen area-you can't beat that!

The management company was very friendly , helpful & great to deal with & the owner (Sharon) is such a wonderful & nice lady as well,

So, I would highly recommend this cabin as you will not be disappointed. It is really a perfect getaway & you will feel like you have all the comforts of home and more while you are there & you probably won't want to leave. This place has it all!!!

We can't wait to come back up & stay here again!!!

Thanks for sharing your wonderful place with us!!! :)

Our family of 5...including a 4 year old and twin 2 year old girls had a blast staying at Four Seasons of Fun in Big Bear this summer. Upon entering the cabin, we were greeted by a wonderful gift basket of toys and treats for the kids. It even included some toys and treats for our dog who also enjoyed the trip. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the cabin was stocked with cooking essentials, cleaning essentials, linens, etc. We really didn't need to bring a thing. We ate nearly every meal at the cabin and used the grill several times. The kids liked to rock in the rocking chairs on the front porch and liked to play in the backyard, as well. Every night we all wrapped up our day in the hot tub for some "swimming" as the kids liked to call it. We were especially grateful for the books, pamphlets and magazines about things to do in Big Bear. We looked at them everyday to plan our day. The cabin was within walking distance to nearly everything we wanted to do. The cabin was the perfect size for our family. My son wants to go back in the winter to go sledding in the backyard. We really had a great time and can't wait to return. The owners were especially helpful in planning our trip. We received an email on our arrival day that included the weather for the week as well as some "can't miss" things to do while we were there. The whole experience was wonderful.

The beautiful fireplace and large flat panel TV in the great room provide a wonderful gathering place with family and friends. For your dining pleasure, we recommend Peppercorns and Boo Bears restaurants. Holloways Marina has some of the best boat rentals prices! Dear Sharon,
We had a wonderful weekend break at your cottage. The great room was particularly popular with my friends and family to lounge and watch the boats go by, or play with cards or one of the board games that you thoughtful kept for guests. The location was great - steps from the lake across the street, 2 mins to the marina ( we liked Pine Knot which is a 5min walk). And 5 min walk to the village. We loved the reccomendations for things to do. Horseback riding was fun, as was fishing and kayaking. Will visit again as soon as I get 6-8 people together.

I find it amazing how within 1 and 1/2 hour drive we can find such beauty and tranquility.
Cheers,

The area offers a variety of activities. We are hikers and were delighted at the variety of the trails available.

It's remarkable that an area of such beauty is so close to the congestion of OC and LA. I love to take photos there--the sky is incredibly blue! The smells are wonderful as well.

The cabin itself is very well laid out, decorated beautifully, and very convenient. The kitchen is great--much nicer than the one I have in my own home. This is a fantastic place to stay, and I look forward to getting back up there soon.

The cabin was clean, well maintained and felt more like MY vacation home versus renting a cabin. It felt great to have "downy fresh" linens after taking a shower. Kitchen layout worked well for dinner with friends. There is nothing like enjoying a hot cup of coffee in the early morning as you look through the big picture window at the lake.

The collection of movies, games and reading material were current. (I rented a cabin in Big Bear in 2005 that still had only VHS!) Having access to wireless internet was very convenient.

Summer family fun

Our family stayed in Big Bear for a week of family fun. We enjoyed fishing on the lake, boating, canoing and the lake views so much we didn't leave the cabin to go into the village. With all of our great food we brought with us and the ability to BBQ and use a great kitchen, we enjoyed the cabin life. The openess of the cabin also allowed our family to enjoy game nights and charades. We had a lot of fun and plan to do it again next summer.
