Area Information
Magnificent location at about 7200 ft. altitude, a stroll away from skiing, golf, zoo (really adorable especially for the kids), great hiking, and only 3 miles from the lake with all it has to offer.
It is located in one of the most scenic parts of Big Bear Lake: the gorgeous upper Moonridge area, in a forested hill.

You'll be surrounded by the large pine trees, and the lovely forest! Here in upper Moonridge it's a breathtaking all season wonderland! In winter we get more snow than other areas of Big Bear, and retain it, mainly because of our high altitude and thick trees. In summer, we get a nice cool breeze.

There is always something to do for everyone, and you'll have a great time.

Great location!

January 25, 2015

We had a great trip! There were 10 of us and we had PLENTY of room to relax and sleep. This house was so close we could walk to the lifts! The zoo was down the street, which we enjoyed as well. The weather was too warm so there was no snow for sledding :( The owner, Max, was super helpful and prompt in responding to me and addressed everything I brought up. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your Dream Chalet!

Thank you Lauren. You will always be welcome!

A Dream Chalet for the dreamers

December 16, 2013

I enjoyed my stay here at the Dream Chalet. It was spacious and inviting. I was hoping more snow would be on the mountain but this comfy cabin had enough room to let our family enjoy each other's company. The rooms in the back did get too warm with the heater. The 2 bunk beds are in the small room but there is a sliding glass door to the deck. The main king room was huge and left you cold without the fire going. The upstairs room was segregated and kind of a nice feature. The pool table needs a little more room but we still had a lot of fun playing there. It was also convenient to have the mini-fridge in this room. I really liked the jet tub but it was broken and we did not get to use it. The bathrooms were spacious and I would have like a few more towels available. We did bring some of our own. I did not have what I thought was enough cleaning supplies. If you stay for more than a few days you may need to bring your own paper towels, laundry soap and things like that. This was not that big of problem for us, since we only stayed a couple of nights. When I arrived there was hardly enough dish soap to wash our first nights dinner but after a phone call the next morning more was delivered to us. Overall, I think our family enjoyed the cabin itself. I would have liked to see a more updated entertainment system. There was no HDMI connections to any TV's. There were plenty of pillows and blankets though, and the overall set up is very enjoyable.

Owner's reply:

Mirg, thank you for your constructive comments. I'm working on making improvements, especially when it comes to service and for the supplies; FYI, I hire a management company for a lot of that and appreciate the feedback. I hope to have you again as a guest.
Regards, Max

HUGE!! Great location

February 22, 2012

This house is huge, clean and very close to Bear Mountain. We enjoyed our stay here greatly. There is lots of room to spread out and they offer plenty of things to do (i.e. board games, pool table, sleds, etc.) The bedding was very clean and 2.5 bathrooms made it quite easy for a large group to get ready. We enjoyed out stay here a lot.

Owner's reply:

I appreciate your kind comments.
