About Big Bear Lake
Big Bear Lake is a unique mountain resort community located 100 miles northeast of Los Angeles and surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest. About 21,000 residents make their home here full-time.

Pine and oak forests flourish in Big Bear's alpine environment. The area provides a natural habitat for approximately 30 wintering bald eagles and 29 species of rare plants, ten of which are indigenous to the area.
Our lake is a fresh water lake seven miles long. The average width is 1/2 mile, with a maximum depth of 72 feet and over 22 miles of shoreline.
The community is full of recreational opportunities such as fishing, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, tours and winter sports. It's home to one of the nation's only alpine solar observatories. small but nice
January 12, 2013
We were a family of 5 the beds were ok and it was very homey ... but it was a bit of a tight squeeze and the maid service did not do a good job of cleaning the bathroom when we first got there. However, It is VERY convenient to get to Snow Summit especially when you have three small kids ! Overall it was a great place to stay !

Fully Loaded Cabin Close To Car & Ski Lifts
January 9, 2013
Nice ski-cabin style decor with lots of charming accents and wood ceilings and walls! We LOVED our stay! Fully stocked kitchen with ALL spices needed for cooking and ALL cooking supplies! Excellent coffee maker with reusable gold filter - if you bring filters, the coffee maker takes "cone-style" filters. Small toiletries provided in bathrooms (nice touch in case you forgot to pack something) & there is a hair dryer too! Towels for 4 provided (I recommend bringing an extra set for hot tubbing & wash towels as needed in the wash machine/dryer). Buy wood at front office and enjoy the gas ignition fire place! HUGE TV in living room with sound system for watching movies. 5 person hot tub - crucial for muscle recovery after hard day skiing. (I prefer slightly stronger jets, but the 3 jet grouping in the middle seat is great for sore muscles). Unit close to parking, makes unpacking and packing your car a snap. Walk 1 block to lift - I suggest leaving skis outside the bar by lift 2 at the base and walking back to the unit for lunch. Great to take everything off and dry wet ski clothes in dryer before heading back to slopes! If you bring kids with you ... there's a chest of toys in the master bedroom closet & even videos in the right drawers of the 2nd bedroom dresser!!! Great TVs in both bedrooms. Lots of hooks for coats downstairs. If you bring a dog - I highly recommend bringing a baby gate to keep your dog in the tiled kitchen while you are skiing (then you don't have to worry about them getting into the fireplace, falling through the railing by the stairs, or doing anything that could damage themselves or the unit). Our dog LOVED his vacation! He felt right at home and we could tell he was so grateful we brought him because he was an extra good doggie on our trip! He enjoyed being with us in the snow and loved sniffing all the new mountain smells around the ski village. So happy we could bring him! Only have one problem to report with the unit ... the door won't slide shut on the upstairs half-bath (at least we couldn't get it to slide). Overall - great cabin-style unit with everthing you need to unwind after a day of skiing located close to your car and to the slopes! We look forward to returning :-) Thanks for a great stay!!!!!!

Gotta Love Condo to 1st Run in 5 Minutes!
November 12, 2012
Location location location. I stayed at the ski in ski out condo right at Snow Summit last year. I've stayed at many places in Big Bear and this condo was very clean and spacious with nice amenities. The best part was the private jacuzzi to soak in after snowboarding all day. We brought food to cook and never had to drive anywhere! I just booked another weekend this year. I highly recommend this place!

Perfectly Convenient Vacation
March 6, 2012
We couldn't be happier with our experience. The accommodations made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Everything worked fine from the coffee maker to the Jacuzzi. The place was outfitted with an assortment of sleds, a bunch of games and even toys for my 5 year old. Wow. Somebody really cared enough to think of every thing. Shaun was a breeze to deal with. Looking forward to next ski season. I don't know if the ski-in/ski-out property at Snow Summit can be beat at Bear mountain. We loved it. Thanks, Frederick, Irene, and Sara Carrion Calabasas,California

Pretty Good
February 2, 2012
Everything worked and the location was very convenient. The condo is definitively showing its age and needs some TLC, but nothing that really detracted from the experience. The web page says that there is internet access, which is partly true in as much as you can weakly access the rec room modem, but it was hit and miss.

Summitt Mountain Get Away
January 8, 2012
The condo was nice, close to Snow Summit, reasonably clean and well-maintained. The staff was very helpful. We would stay there again although the snow was not great. I felt uncomfortable having to actually pay the $500 cleaning deposit rather than leaving a credit card number.

December 26, 2011
The location of the condo is great for Snow Summit. The arrangements with the owner were super easy and check in was just a quick at the condo office. The condo is older and could use some love but it was comfortable and everything worked great. We would stay again my only advise would be to bring your own bath towels, trash bags, paper towels and dish towels

Convenient and comfortable
November 15, 2011
Couldn't be more convenient to Snow Summit. 3 min walk to lifts. Well equipped, comfortable and very clean. Could use a couple of upgrades, new carpet/kitchen cabinets but overall we were very comfortable and enjoyed our weekend. Would def book again, great value for money.

Mountain Biking in Big Bear
October 27, 2011
Recently stayed in the Snow Summit Condos and did some mountain biking. The location is great, one minute bike ride to the lift up the mountain and one minute back to your condo when you’re beat from the day. Had a clean and hot jacuzzi on the deck and everything in town is close by...great place to stay!

Snow Summit summer vacation
August 6, 2011
We were happy with our stay at this cabin for our summer mountain vacation. It fit our family of 6 perfectly. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to cook. I would remind people to bring x-tra toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap as there wasn't enough provided to last beyond a day. No problem to pack it, just wished I had. The rec room was great for playing pool, and the pool was warm and clean. My husband and kids used the spa at the condo and thought it was terrific. There are great games and movies at the condo as well. The condo is a very short walk to the Snow Summit lift chair to take to the summit and hike down. The hike has breathtaking views from the top, and when we finished our hike we were "home". Also has a nice running/biking trail right behind the condo. Summer in Big Bear is refreshing with lots to do.

great stay
March 6, 2011
We only stayed for a night, but we would have enjoyed one more night to actually enjoy the place. Great location, short walk to tickets and slopes. Perfect for family of five. The parking lot is right there which is great, because you do not need to move your car. The only draw back is the black mud that you track into the condo because the grease and dirt from the parking lot. The place had everything you needed. We were there for such a short time that I did not complain about the cleaning. I emailed the owner about checking with the maid service because the cleaning job was poorly done. The floor in the kitchen was very, very sticky and the maid left the mop and cleaning supplies on the deck. The bedding was clean and in gerenal it was clean. We look forward to staying there again. We will be back.

Great Vacation Rental
October 20, 2010
Everything about this place was great. It's a townhouse with a cabin feel, it is literally located at the base of Snow Summit and so it has easy access to all things Big Bear. It was the perfect size for 6 people and the jacuzzi was awesome. We were all very pleased to spend our Holiday weekend in this townhouse. Just one sour note is that the couch bed is not comfortable at all, plan on sleeping on the couches or bring a blow up mattress for living room sleepers. Also, make sure to bring your own cleaning supplies, like a sponge and/or hand soap etc. to ensure freshness.

I loved this place! The condo had all the amenties of home, a private spa and pool access. I plan on returning next year. My only issue is with dog owners that don't pick up after their pets.

We stayed with 2 adults and 3 kids at this condo over a weekend. The kids swam in the pool and were happy to have bunk beds and a TV with DVD player in their room!

Late March Ski Trip

The condo was very comfortable for me and my family. The location is great and so convenient to the slopes, stores, gas station, etc. The on site rental office staff treated us awesome and took care of all of our needs. The jacuzzi was enjoyable for our sores muscles. Highly recommended for your trip.

The condo was great and was so close to the slopes. It's about 50 yards from Ski Lifts to the Condo - very convenient. It's a charming condo that fits a family of 4 easily.

Peaceful Retreat in the Pines
August 18, 2009
The condo was immaculate when I arrived, well-equipped kitchen, spotless bathrooms. The breeze on upper deck was wonderful for late afternoon glass of wine and BBQ. My dog loved the paths through the forest to the Village, we hiked every day. Quiet, and close to the Summit Lifts, nice pool. I would definately return.

Peaceful retreat
July 30, 2009
Stayed here over the crazy July 4th weekend. We were close enough to Big Bear Village and the lake that we could get to either in 5 minutes, but secluded enough that we never heard traffic noise or, even, our neighbors. Had a completely relaxing, soothing weekend. Kitchen has everything you'd need, you don't need to pack a thing except food. We used the gas grill AND the private jacuzzi and DVD player every night. The bathrooms and kitchen were spotless. Our little dog was perfectly happy and the entire area is dog-friendly. Enjoyed walking along the pine-scented paths just outside the door. We were so happy inside our little condo that we never used the pool but it was right around the corner if we needed it. You can walk to the Snow Summit chair lifts from the condo front door. Would come again for a peaceful, relaxing weekend - so close to the City the drive was a dream. Shaun was great and very helpful and accommodating. Great find!
Owner Supplied Testimonials

My family stayed in the condo for 2 nights the week before Christmas. The boys made a very short walk to Snow Summit to snow board. We were within easy walking distance of stores and ordered pizza on night. Full Kitchen allowed us to cook the remainder of our meals in. All good including a live fire and free movie rental check outs at the management office. We found this gem from a friend who rents a week each summer which is also a blast we're told. Shaun @ TrekProperties was a breeze to work with. we'll be back. Dec 2011 Mike Kormos
Love this place, come every summer for 2 weeks...maybe I'll try the snow sometime. Thanks Charlene T.
