Big Pine Key, Florida Vacation Home Rental
|Per month:||$2,000 - $2,500|
Description of the Big Pine Key vacation home rental
Our home was built in 2005. As it's the case in most newly built homes in the area, the living space is all on the second floor. Some of the main features of our home are: large parking space for up to 5 vehicles, large deck with new barbecue grill and outdoor furniture, wood floors, island kitchen with built-in oven and built-in microwave, 50-inch HDTV, Blu-Ray DVD Player with Netflix, Pandora, UTube and other apps, Wi-Fi Internet access, satellite TV.
Master Bedroom with queen bed, 2 night stands with 2 drawers each, dresser with mirror, walk-in closet, private master bathroom with two sinks, Roman bathtub, separate glass-enclosed shower and toilet room within master bathroom. Second bedroom has twin daybed and bunk bed for two children, as well as a drawer chest and closet. Third bedroom has a queen bed, 2 night stands, dresser with mirror, drawer chest and closet. Second bathroom has combination shower and tub, toilet and one sink. There's a game nook with table and chairs next to the hallway that we use for playing dominoes, checkers, cards, etc. Laundry room with washer and dryer and plenty of storage space.
Kayaking and biking are extremely popular in the area. Adventurers and nature lovers have thousands of miles of mangrove island coasts, hidden backcountry beaches, clear water sandbars, and a myriad hidden gems waiting to be discovered. A good way to get started is participating in a guided kayak excursion. Only an 8 minute drive from our home, Big Pine Kayak Adventures offers kayak group tours to the surrounding wildlife refuges. You can also rent their kayaks and paddle the islands yourself (they provide a guide map with local secrets and interesting places to explore).
The island is very bike friendly, and one of the best ways to explore its unique neighborhoods with both paved and gravel trails is by bicycle. You can rent or buy bikes 3 blocks away from our home at Big Pine Key Bicycle Center. The folks there are extremely knowledgeable about the area and will provide you with a biking map and tips on the best trails.

BEST IN THE KEYS - GREAT LOCATION TOO!
July 3, 2014
Since I am an English teacher, I did the research for a family reunion this summer in the Keys. My daughter and 2 grandchildren came in from Ga., my son and his wife came in from Ft. Lauderdale; I drove down from Coral Springs,Florida. Close enough for us to make several trips in to Key West, we also went quite often to the beaches (both sides) at renowned Bahia Honda State Park (beach pass was included). There was plenty to do also right there in Big Pine. We all loved the extras that came with the house rental - paddle-boards, kayaks, snorkle gear, nice bikes, video games, DVD player, board games, flat screen TVs in bedrooms & living room; I could go on and on. As Captain Ron (the property manager for Steve & Shelly Belmonte's house there in Big Pine Key) says: "About all you have to bring for your vacation at this house is your toothbrush." So true. By the way, Capt. Ron is a huge plus - accessible, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and a great sense of humor. We also loved seeing the key deer everywhere - they keep the cars adhering to the speed limit and add a "nature" touch to the trip. If it had rained, we would have had plenty to do inside, but the weather was glorious and we stayed on the water most of the time. The house is right on a canal that leads right out to the intercoastal, and if you have a boat, you can tie it right up to the dock out back. It's a quiet lovely neighborhood; the house is equipped with updated appliances, a nice screened patio area with a gas grill and everything you could ever need to cook with - don't bring spices or any other kitchen things besides your food. Steve was very accessible by phone, and Shelly: my daughter still says you should be a designer for hotels, as the iron art work in all the rooms and all the decor was simply beautiful. The pictures in the advertisement for the house don't do it justice. Thanks for a lovely family vacation & the wonderful hospitality - we'll definitely be back next year! Best Regards, Dorothy Beall Griffin & the rest of the Griffins, along with our pup Munchkin.
Feels like home

We stayed here for a month and loved it. The house is very comfortable, nicely decorated and well maintained. It is exactly as shown in the photos. The master bedroom suite was particularly nice with a soaking tub, double sink and shower. The beds were all very comfortable. We cooked many meals there and found the kitchen well stocked. There is a nice counter at the island and also a big dining table. There is parking for two cars under the house. It is located on a quiet side street. We had coffee on the deck every morning, then walked to the lovely community park a quarter mile away. We saw a Key deer just across the street one morning as well as in various wooded lots in the neighborhood. Bahia Honda is not far away for good swimming and sandy areas for kids. Watch the kite boarders there on windy days! We went kayaking in several spots and even kayaked past a manatee! The best restaurants in the area are down a few Keys- visit The Wharf for great margaritas and iguana watching. The No Name Pub on Big Pine is worth a visit as well. We hope to stay here again next winter to do more exploring in the Keys.

Our stay in Big Pine Key was a success greatly in part to our accommodations. The rental is big!! We stayed 2 weeks and fished and caught lobster by day and entertained by night, some nights up to 22 adults and teenagers. With our home being the largest out of two other families we decided it best to eat dinner there most nights. The almost all in one room kitchen, dinning and living rooms made for great gathering and the kitchen was supplied with all the necessary pots, pans and cooking gadgets one may need to cook just about anything. The two full baths were great ( a garden tub in the master was a plus!!) and washer and dryer to keep from having to bring so much clothes. The beds were comfortable and the boys liked the bunk beds. I would highly recommend this vacation home to my friends in a minute and will try to use it myself in the future. Thank you again for the use of your wonderful home.

Lobster Season 2013
August 22, 2013
Stayed here for the 2013 Lobster Mini Season. House was perfect. Plenty of room to park the truck and boat. Neighbors were quiet and the key deer are everywhere. There is a great park down the street for the kids to get some energy out. We have a 5 & 6 year old and they loved it. We had 4 adults and 2 kids and the house was perfect. A/C was cold and cable TV and internet were great. There are 3 boat ramps nearby and a grocery store. This was my 3rd time in the keys and I definitely hope to stay here again. Owners answered the phone when I called them and were very accommodating to all our needs. Possibly the nicest thing of all is that Bahia Honda State Park was 2 miles down the road and is possibly the nicest beach I have ever been to. It is a perfect family beach and our kids begged to go everyday. Thanks again for a great vacation.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was very roomy and fit 7 people comfortably. It was the perfect location. Walked the seven mile bridge each night for sunset. Was able to walk to the local transportation to key west! Close to no name pub our favorite restaurant. Loved being able to do our laundry and cook! We Rode the bikes to blue Hole and got to see key deer close to every night! All of these experiences Were perfect because of our stay in big pine! Adriel was available to Contact whenever we Needed him! Can't wait to return next year!

We stayed in this home for 3 1/2 months, January 2013 through mid April. This is a very nice, well furnished, and well decorated home. It is kept in very good repair and the owners will immediately address any problem that may arise. It is the perfect home for a large family or group that are vacationing together. Location is perfect for access to all area's of the Key's. All appliance's worked well. It has a super spectacular master bedroom suite and bath, with a huge walk in closet. TV has great selection and y-fi works well with both cell phones and your computer. Owners are very nice people and make you feel welcome in their home. This home is a great value for the price you pay. I would personally recommend for both a short or long term stay.

Our home for the winter
April 5, 2012
We spent the winter(Dec.-March) at this home on Big Pine Key and were more thaqn pleased. The home was immaculate, clean and well supplied. Adriel, the owner's son was always helpful and pleasant whenever we had a question.which was not often. The home was convenient for grocery shopping, stores and restaurants and best of all was only a few minutes from Bahia Honda State Park and its wonderful beaches. We would return to this house again and look forward to doing so in the future.

This house is really comfortable. It has everything you need to feel at home. You can visit Bahia Honda State Park: one of the most beautiful places in the Florida Keys, with awesome beaches, water sports, and breathtaking scenery to take pictures. You can admire the key deers passing nearby the house. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this house for your next vacation.

Just wanted to let you know that we had an incredible time staying at your home! It was very spacious and clean. We had our family (4) plus my parents with us, and there was a ton of space. We loved the cove for the kids to have a place to play. And the bedrooms were great and beautifully decorated. There are a million things to do within walking distance, or a very short drive. The park at the corner was amazing. Clean and tons to do! We love the fact that Bahia Honda State Park is just a few miles away. We were able to go everyday! And one of our favorite church's, Vineyard, is a 6 minute walk! The mexican restaurant at the corner (5 minute walk) has great food. What we loved so much is we felt like we were in a tropical paradise. And we were. Anuls (small lizards) to keep the kids running;the walk anywhere around you,was loaded with beautiful sites of palms, tropical flowers and ocean views. Everyone was friendly and willing to help to local destinations. Key West was only a 45 minute drive. The owners of this property were wonderful! Made everything from booking our time, to our stay and departure, nothing but a pure pleasure! Thanks so much and we are all sure to come and stay with you again!
Very nice rental

If your looking for a vacation home away from the hussel and bussel this is it. Close by some beautiful very private beaches. You can walk to the town park at the end of Sands st.(1/4mi) pleanty of beach there. The nite life is 30mi. south. We usualy drove, but for 2.50 the bus picks you up at the cornor of Sands. The most beautiful beaches in all the keys is only seven mi. north. The house is very clean, furnished to the nines. Pleanty of space. We had our children, and grand children visit for 2 wks. Plenty of hot water and plenty of room. The key deer walk right past the house almost every nite. Friendly little critters. If you rent this property I promis you you will love it, and recomend it to your friends and family.
