Reviews for this vacation home rental in Bigfork, Montana
North Adams, MA
August 3, 2014
We stayed at Cougar Trail the week of our son's Bigfork wedding. The house has everything you could possibly need. The only thing we had to run out and buy was bar soap for the baths. We had anywhere from 6 to 30 plus sleeping in the house on various nights and we never felt crowded. We had our rehearsal dinner under a tent on the front lawn with about 75 guests. Our caterer loved the kitchen and extra freezer and refrigerator in the house. Arlan and his lovely wife were wonderful hosts, always available if we had questions. I appreciate the fact that they didn't have a million rules for us to follow, they trusted us to respect their property. I highly recommend this property it is beautiful and comfortable!
GREAT WAY TO BRING IN THE NEW YEAR
February 5, 2014
This was the second time that we brought in the new year here. Like our first visit we arrived to nice inviting and clean house. Each year we have gone with a group of 25+ people and everyone has had somewhere comfortable to sleep. It is close enough to whitefish that many people made skiing day trips. For those that opted to stay at the house for the day there was no shortage of things to do. From hiking around the house, reading books by the fire place to watching movies in the theater room (not hard to do if you follow the instructions that Arlan gave upon arrival.) When we got home we realized we had forgot something that was pricey to replace. With a couple emails sent Arlan found it and had it in the mail to return it to us. The customer service was great and he did what he could to make our stay enjoyable. There is a good chance we will be returning and I would happily recommend the property to large groups looking a nice relaxing vacation.

I had my family stay in this amazing lodge when my husband and I got married. There was 16 of us and we had room for so many more! It was great because each family had their own area. I especially loved the kitchen and living room. It was an open area that was perfect for gathering in. The theater was fun to watch movies and football on. The location of the cabin is far enough away from town to appreciate the scenery, but close enough to have everything you need each day. We didn't have anything to worry about when we were staying there. Overall, awesome for large families or groups of friends!

Amazing Montana Wedding
January 2, 2014
My husband and I got married over the Christmas holiday. We had 16 people staying in the house and there was so much room still available! The kitchen and living area are beautiful and were a great gathering place for everyone! The theater was a fun place to watch movies, football, and tv. All of the kitchen appliances were very nice so we had big family breakfasts and dinners and ate out for lunch. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, far enough away from town to enjoy the beauty, but close enough for all the amenities Bigfork, Kalispell, and Whitefish offer. Arlan, the owner, was very welcoming and willing to help in anyway we needed him. Thanks so much. We had an amazing time!
Perfect Montana Wedding
August 9, 2013
We rented the house for a week and had about 8 couples stay with us. We ended the week with our wedding ceremony and reception in the backyard. The weather was perfect and the evening was beautiful. We danced under the stars until the wee hours. Arlan was a great host and very accommodating. Thank you, Arlan, for a perfect night.

We had our family reunion and a wedding combined in this, our first trip to Montana. The house and grounds were as described - absolutely beautiful, and the owner, Arlan Wiggins, was as accommodating a host that one could hope for. We hope to return next year!

Arlan, Thank you so much for a beautiful place. Like the other guy said pictures don't do it justice. There is so much room and so many things to do.We wanted to check the surrounding areas out more but the house was so beautiful no one wanted to leave. We had a small family reunion (about 30) plenty of room for many more. If you do decide to leave, everything is quite close, many lakes to choose from, town, hikes, snowboarding if winter etc. We would like to stay a week in the winter, and check the area out more, but of course go back in the summer. We would definatly have another family reunion there. We look forward to going back.
Arlan, your place is amazing!!! the pics don't do it justice. we had a fabulous time and are going to try and get a big group together for the Holidays. Thanks for your incredible hospitality. Steve
