Wonderful, relaxing, beautiful trip

October 17, 2011

The home was comfortable and inturn the trip was relaxing, Being so close to the water was blessing with 5 boys and 1 girl between 14 and 7 years. We started our day walking out in the low tide waters, exploring all the marine life. The kids are still talking about what fun we had. The sunsets were fabulous. The town was small, quite and relaxing - we walked to restaurants - great quality time with the kids. We also took a trip into Canada and rented bikes - 12 of us - it was great. The trip was wonderful.

We loved the Virginian! Loved the decor. It was sparkling clean and wonderful!!! There were 12 ladies and we so appreciated a bathroom on every floor. The beds were comfortable too! Cant say enough about how we love it there. BBQ on the deck, beach walks, friendly neighbors! It was the bomb!! Thank you so much to Ms Brenda for creating such a lovely retreat! We so hope to go back again next year if not sooner!

Too much of owners personal stuff.

August 17, 2010

Lovely location, but the home is full of owners junk and much of it is breakable and not really a comfortable place for children. Deck is not safe for children and could cause great injury. The owners take a deposit and then accuse you of taking objects you did not use and charging you for them.

A great getaway!

July 24, 2009

From the moment we walked into the Virginian, we felt right at home. There are too many extra touches and details to list. The owners certainly show they care about their guests. We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing 4th of July. Spent a lot of time reading on the great deck, playing checkers and playing cards. The beach access is the best! The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked. Proximity to The C Shop is a definite plus! We look forward to returning.

We spent 2 nights at the Viginian and our experience was truly awesome. The place was very comfortable and we all had a very good time. I would love to go back to the place and would readily recommend it as a place to visit.

Finding a place to stay on the Internet is a little scary. You never know about the neighborhood and everyone has an opinion of "very nice". We were so pleased with everything the minute we opened the door. The accomodations were more than expected, and the kitchen was more well stocked and nicer than mine at home. A convection/conventional oven was way over the top in my expectations of a great accommodation! We had a wonderful view of the bay and got some wonderful sunset pictures. It was very relaxing and plenty of room for 3 families. Unfortunately, we spent more time running around than staying to enjoy the condo, but it was nice to come home to. A great place and I would highly recommend it to others. Looking forward to another vacation somewhere and I will definitely be checking out vrbo first. Thank you for a memorable week.

actually stayed at different propery

Due to a mix up, the Virginian was double booked and the owner gave us her personal home in Fairhaven ( it will soon be a B and B.) If you EVER get the chance to stay there, TAKE IT. I think it will be listed as the Fairhaven. It is a doll house and convenient and a five star home. It was a potentially horrible situation made into an incredibly positive one.
