Description of the Black Butte Ranch vacation home rental

Our Black Butte home has 3 sleeping areas: 2 downstairs bedrooms and a large sleeping and play area upstairs for the children. Home is nicely furnished for one family or suitable for two smaller families. It is nicely-situated on a good-sized lot with circular driveway in quiet cul-de-sac close to Big Meadow. Peek-a-boo views exist from different locations on deck. Living area has very high, vaulted ceilings with windows framed for view of the tip of Black Butte Mountain. Situated walking distance to South Meadow pool and tennis courts (few hundred meters), biking distance to the new Glaze Meadow Sports Complex and not far from the main Ranch entrance. This location, SM44, offers privacy and quiet while making trips to the country store or into the nearby Western-themed town of Sisters quick and easy.


BBQ ( a little wimpy but it gets the job done) on deck with large lot and small grassy area. Besides its great location, favorite features are the big roaring fireplace, dual-headed shower, all-wood interior walls (no plaster or sheet rock anywhere) and nice furnishings. Very clean and "cabiny" feeling. You won't find any avocado green or harvest gold appliances

We know you'll enjoy your stay at Black Butte Ranch.

Area Information

Beautiful! Other attractions in the area are town of Sisters, Camp Sherman, Bend and Redmond, OR.

Lots of hiking, biking and clear mountain lakes nearby which inlcude; Suttle Lake, Three Creeks, Clear Lake, Big Lake and others.

Check out the Black Butte Ranch site for all the resort offers...most amenities are included with your guest registration. Pool/Sauna/Hot Tub are located at Recreation Center, not at our house.

Also, near Metolius River for fly fishing, Camp Sherman, Suttle Lake & Big Lake (water-skiing), Santiam Pass, Hoo Doo ski area. The beautiful mountain/desert setting yields hot, blue sky days with cool breeze nights and mornings during summer months. Delightful!

Family Friendly A-Frame

August 6, 2012

Half of our vacation time included my son & family. Two granddaughters age 2 & 5 who loved the loft. Very nice that the toys are shared with the renters. Great location for both South and Glaze Meadow pools. We all enjoyed cycling (bring your own bikes), swimming, hiking, seeing deer (daily!) We brought all our own food, but you will find that the kitchen is well supplied with spices, condiments, etc. Perfect weather as well.

Very adorable cabin

We had a great stay! The owner was easy to deal with and the cabin was clean and well maintained. Our children LOVED the loft upstairs and all the toys. Would definitely stay there again.

Cute Cabin, great location!

This house was perfect for our visit with Grandparents and two kids. It felt like home and had lots of old Black Butte charm but with modern amenities and furnishings. The upper loft was heaven for the kids with lots of toys and their own TV. We loved being right by the big meadow and took stunning bike rides through it every evening. When the Glaze Meadow pool got too crazy it was nice to just pop over to the South Meadow pool which was much quieter and across the street.

Really Nice Stay

Had the opportunity to stay at this property in June. We were a family of 4, and there was more than enough room. The house was well appointed and nicely furnished/decorated. It was also well situated to access the lodge and pools of Black Butte Ranch via a leisurely bike ride. Owners were very responsive and helpful, and we were much appreciative given it was our first time to Black Butte. We could not have been happier with the stay, and plan to come back.

Relaxing week in Black Butte

What a lovely Black Butter home. Our family enjoyed a fabulous week at your ranch house. Very clean and newly updated, lots of room, great location to bike or walk to all ranch activities. We spent a week biking, swimming, golfing and hiking. So much to do. Definitely would rent it again, we have stayed at many homes at the ranch and this is very nice and comfortable.
