Lovely

We had a wonderful time in this lovely log cabin. The location was perfect - a quiet peaceful setting next to woods. But close enough to town (Custer City), Mt Rushmore and the other Black Hills attractions. The cabin was so pretty and so well equipped, we felt right at home. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because we had some water issues during our stay.

Beautiful home and grounds!

Dave has done wonders with this house! It is beautiful, and Dave was quick to bring us anything we needed - even though the house was very well stocked. If you are planning activities close to Rushmore, this is quite a drive from that area, but the scenery is beautiful - so we didn't mind the drive. You could EASILY sleep way more than 8. Plenty of room for air mattresses! We highly recommend this home!

Wonderful stay

“ Excellent ”
July 28, 2011
We had a wonderful stay at this little cabin. It was exceptionally clean, the people are incredibly helpful and friendly, it had an extra home feel since the owners are there and operate it all themselves. The location was quiet and beautiful. Great area for the kids to run and play. We got to know other kids and combined they spent hours at the creek on the property. And despite the quiet, rural setting it was incredibly close to everything. 5 minutes to Rushmore, one minute to Keystone. LOVED our stay. Just a note this is a very small cabin - but it worked just great for our family of four! Highly recommended this place.

Awesome Vacation

September 28, 2014
The Hideaway Cabin is the perfect spot, a centralized location to all of South Dakota Black Hills and surrounding area. Glenda is a gracious host and always ready to help plan the day and give information on surrounding sites and eating places. The cabin is comfortable and clean, the bed is not the most comfortable but can be overlooked. Always deer to see on the hillside. We had a wonderful week traveling out each day from the cabin. Thank you Glenda for sharing your cabin with us.
