Description of the Black Hills vacation cabin rental

Cabins w/2 private bedrooms, Livingroom w/1 hide-a-bed, full kitchen, 1 bathroom w/shower Cabins sleep up to 6 or 8 persons with 4 persons being under age 9.

Motel rooms w/ 1 queen bed or 1 queen & 1 double beds, kitchenette, charcoal grill access & full bath.

Motel suite: 3 private bedrooms, 3 hide-a-beds in livingroom, 2 bathrooms w/shower, full kitchen, dining to seat 14 persons. Sleeps up to 12 or 14 persons with 8 being under age 9

Located on 6.5 acres just .5 miles South of Hill City, not far from Keystone, Custer, Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore.
Large ingound swimming pool, hottub, Mickelson Trail access with free use of bicycles. Free gold panning in Spring Creek that runs through the property. 2 Large Campfire areas w/free firewood, 2 Playgound areas, all on 6.5 acres to play & explore. Charcoal Grills for all accommodations w/charcoal & lighter fluid included.

Area Information

Central Black Hills, just .5 miles South Hill City and 15 or less miles from Mount Rushmore, Custer, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Keystone, Pactola Lake & Deerfield Lake, 28 miles from Rapid City, 42 miles from Deadwood & Lead and just 50 miles from Sturgis and more.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this little cabin. It was exceptionally clean, the people are incredibly helpful and friendly, it had an extra home feel since the owners are there and operate it all themselves. The location was quiet and beautiful. Great area for the kids to run and play. We got to know other kids and combined they spent hours at the creek on the property. And despite the quiet, rural setting it was incredibly close to everything. 5 minutes to Rushmore, one minute to Keystone. LOVED our stay. Just a note this is a very small cabin - but it worked just great for our family of four! Highly recommended this place.

We came up for the 1st week of the Stugis Rally. It was everything we expected and more. Close to all the Rally stuff, but far enough away to be restful in the evenings.

Quail's crossing as an rustic camp setting is cozy but cabins somewhat dated but nicely maintained lots of outdoor activities for the kids. pool,hot tub, playground, basketball and biking nice little camping supply store in office an plenty of movies to view. Great location for base camp for touring the hills!

Close and convenient to everything

We stayed three nights in July 09. Cabins are a bit outdated and on the small size, but extremely clean and the location is perfect. Nice pool and play area for kids, free bikes for use and access to Mickelson Trail, campfire pits, grills, creek out back for panning gold.

Great Place to Stay in the Black Hills

June 9, 2009

This cabin was everything that I hoped for. It was close enough to the attractions but very secluded and quiet! We stayed for 6 nights with 4 adults and 3 children and had room to spare. Everything was clean and well taken care of! They also had some added ammenities that were nice-gas grill (with gas actually in the tank) and Sat TV with DVR (which was nice for the kids on the rainy days). I would recommend this cabin to family and friends.

The Perfect Place!

Black Hills Cabins & Motel (Quail's Crossing) is a wonderful place to stay. The motel rooms are spotlessly clean and the Cabins are terrific. The owner George does a wonderful job of keeping the place in top shape,and he has on hand anything you could possibly need for your vaction. I can't wait till next year to go back. We stayed 3 nights in this cabin; it was very clean, and we enjoyed our stay. The pool was nice and clean, the kids had a good time swimming. The owner was very accommodating and we enjoyed visiting with him about the area. If we visit the area again, we will call him for a reservation.

This cabin is amazing. It is the most peaceful place I have ever been to. The view is breath taking. I haven't had such a laid back time in quite a while. I am definately going to go back. I highly recommend it to anyone.
