Description of the Black Hills vacation cabin rental

Two guest bedrooms: king and full/twin bunk bed (linens provided).

Living area with queen sleeper sofa (linens provided) and T.V. with DVD player.

Gourmet kitchen fully equipped.

Large bathroom with double sinks (bath and hand towels and washclothes provided).

Outside patio with picnic table and charcoal grill.

Stream fed trout pond on site - Catch and release only.

Area Information

Located 3 miles from historic Rochford and Moonshile Gulch Saloon.

1 1/2 miles from Mickelson bike and hiking trailhead.

Centrally located in the black hills to tour Mount Rushmore, historic Deadwood, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park, Sturgis, Rapid City, etc.
Drive time from cabin to:
Mount Rushmore - about 1 hour.
Custer State Park and Crazy Horse Monument - about 1 hour.
Deadwood - about 45 minutes.
Sturgis - about 1 hour.
Spearfish Canyon - about 1/2 hour.
Spearfish - about 1 hour.
Devil's Tower - 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours.
Rapid City - 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Badlands - about 2 hours.

FANTASTIC GETAWAY CABIN

August 15, 2012

This was the 3rd year that we have came to S.Dakota for the Sturgis Rally. The cabin is a great place to relax & unwind after riding all day. Location adds to the charm of this cabin. Plenty of space (inside and out).Clean, well maintained and peaceful. So nice to be able to just come in, unpack & enjoy all of the comforts of home. The manager, Glenda & her husband, Dean, are the BEST. We truly enjoy any visit that we have with them. We look forward to returning to this cabin again.

Black HIlls Getaway a must!

Our recent experience at the rental cabin was very nice. The cabin was in very good condition very clean and in an incredibly beautiful setting. Our experience with the care taker was very pleasant. The dryer was not working at the time, but we had been given notice and it really didn’t cause us any problems. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time to relax and enjoy the cabin and the peaceful setting. We are definitely planning on staying again on our next trip to the Black Hills. Great spot to see the Black Hills

We had a great time in the black hills and the cabin was fantastic. There is a beautiful creek running just out the back that my 5 year old loved walking and wading in, with a nice trout pond (we caught a few in there in the limited time we spent fishing). The cabin was a perfect size for us a family of four, and the location is beautiful and secluded but still very central and easy to get to all the Black Hills attractions. The drives on the forest roads around there are spectacular as well and the gravel roads were in excellent shape.

The cabin I rented was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The property owner was quick in responding to my question and the property manager was very friendly and checked on us after our first night to see if we needed anything. There is a lot of open space and trails that run along creeks that make it very relaxing and enjoyable. We had deer that came right up to the cabin every morning. This location is right off the highway that you take to Custer, Keystone, Rapid City and Deadwood. The only draw back that there was is the minerals in the water prevent you from being able to drink it and has an odor, but the seclution and comfort of this cabin is worth the trade of using bottled water. I would stay here again.

The house was great, and the views are awesome. There were 6 of us there for the Sturgis Rally, only drawback to the house for us was the dirt roads. It would be a great spot to stay if you were there for a family vacation in a car.
