The owners are terrific. The property is well kept, clean, in good repair, and nicely secluded. It is really centrally located if you want to explore all of the Black Hills. Rochford is a neat historical little town as an added bonus. You have great access to the Mickelson Trail, and you really see a lot of deer and wild turkeys as you come and go.

My wife and I get to have a week away from the kids once a year and this year we dicided to take a trip to the Black Hills. We wanted a nice, quiet, secluded place to stay that was still close to all the sights. Well, thats just what we got. The drive out the cabin is wonderfull and the views are tough to match. Glenda was wonderful as a host. She was very knowledgeable about the area and would do anything to make our stay comfortable. We loved our stay in the cabin and the Black Hills. I would highly recommend staying here at the Hideaway Cabin and enjoy the beauty around you. I will say that as my title of this review states...while here you are "off the grid". No cell service and 30-40 min away from "civilization". If you come here, be prepared. But you will have a great time.

My husband and myself wanted a very secluded cabin and we found it with the Hideaway. Winding roads lead you through abundant wild life and very little traffic. Very clean cabin, our only negative comment was the rather steep drive up to the cabin.

We recently stayed at this cabin and had a wonderful experience. The couple that own this cabin were the most warm and caring hosts. The cabin was well equipted with supplies and anything that was needed was gotten quickly. We watched wildlife from the front deck. Will stay at this cabin again.

We returned for the 2nd year to attend the Sturgis Rally and stayed at the Hideaway..It was like coming home again. What a wonderful feeling it was. Again, Dean and Glenda made us feel right at home. Truly worthwhile spending time is this Hideaway. Cooked on the grill and dined out on the deck.

"FANTABULOUS" HIDEAWAY

We want everyone to know that this little hideaway in the woods is an absolute fantastic place to spend any vacation whether it be a few days or a few weeks. Extremely clean and is furnished to make you feel right at home. The owners are extemely knowledgable of the area and was willing to share with us. We can't thank them enough for making our trip so very memorable. We are looking forward to going back to the Hideaway in the future since we didn't get to see and do everything the area has to offer. This was our 1st trip to Sturgis on the bike. It was so nice to be able to get away from all of the hustle and noise every nite. It was very relaxing to sit out on the deck each morning & evening just taking in the beautiful skyline/countryside and enjoying the peace & quiet. Convenient location to all of the attractions in the area. We will not hestitate to recommend the Hideaway to any friends or family that might happen to be visiting South Dakota.
