Go Antique shopping in one of several Amish communities located in the area. We have a winter ski and tubing hill a few miles away. Lake Arbutus offers over 900 acres of recreation for water skiing, boating, fishing, and swimming. The Black River is minutes from your front door for canoeing and fishing.
You will enjoy time on the front porch. During the day, you can sit and listen to the birds singing through the woods or dance between the apple trees. At night you will listen to the coyotes howl, while having a campfire in our firepit, just a few steps from the porch. You can grill out on the barbeque grill, or enjoy one of the excellent restaurants in the area.
No matter what season you come there is always something to enjoy and do. Come and enjoy our home away from home, we look forward to helping you create memories that will last a lifetime.

I inquired about staying in this cabin twice via your website. I never received a response. We did stay for 4 nights in this area at a different cabin - my husband got a quick response from the owner of the cabin he inquired about. Hope your May was busy!

I'm not sure where the other reviewers have stayed, but it isn't where we stayed! The cabin is beautiful, but the water is foul! It smells and tastes terrible. We contacted the caretaker and were told the cabin isn't used often and to let the water run, we did - 1/2 hour. It just smelled the interior of the cabin up and there was still foul water. Caretaker indicated the owners knew about the water issue. We left early and were promised a full refund by owner, more than a month later, no refund for stay or DEPOSIT. We have a dispute going with our CC company and are looking at a small claims action. It's up to you, but my advice is go somewhere else. Anyone can go on here and write a positive review, don't be fooled as we were.

We enjoyed this cozy cabin with our children - they enjoyed roasting hot dogs and s'mores over the fire in the firepit and had fun in the large loft. A very nice quiet place to getaway and relax! Thank you!

The log cabin / home is cozy and in good repair with everything you need for a few days of relaxation. Just bring your family and friends and food. The home is not on a lake but in an area where there are mostly what appear to be retreat homes. Easy driving distance from a number of attractions.

We stayed there 3 nights, 4 days an it turned out to be the best weekend ever. Although it started out horrible with our car sliding off the road and in to a ditch, no one was hurt thankfully. People there were very helpful, they stopped and helped us pull out the car. Thanks to them again, because if they didn't help us we would end up paying extra for a towing truck. The cabin was very cozy and warm. We are already planning another stay there soon. It's relaxing and quiet, the neighbors very very helpful too and brought us some extra firewood. We look forward to staying there again!

The cabin is in the middle of nowhere, but that's what makes it great! About a 10 minute drive away you can visit the small, charming town of Black River Falls. We arrived on Thursday and left on Sunday. When we arrived, the cabin hadn't been cleaned, but I am pretty sure that was the booking agency's fault. The lady that owns the cabin was surprised to find us there, but was more than accommodating when everything was settled out. The cabin is pretty spacious, and the front yard is nice. There's also an apple tree, much to our surprise, so we made apple pie from fresh picked apples. I would stay here again, as long as I remind the booking agency again a week in advance.

The cabin was great. The front porch was the perfect place to sit and watch the fire pit. We had a wonderful visit. But, the property was advertised as having Cable/Satellite TV. I had planned to watch the weekend football games since I work most Sundays. There were NO local channels on the satellite. Missed the Packer-Viking GAME OF THE CENTURY! NOT HAPPY.

Cabin was just as described and pictured. Beautiful area, saw some wildlife. Would reccommend the owners get the step in front of cabin fixed, when stepped on it flips forward someone could really get hurt. Otherthan than that once we got the hot water going, everyone had a really good time. Would reccommend to people who want to get away from it all for a long weekend.

This place was a wonderful place to stay for a week away from the city. Quiet retreat in a non-tourist spot of Wisconsin, yet close enough to much to do and see. Nevertheless, there is little chance of catching cabin fever if you stay inside most of the time, the layout of the property is well planned and overall beautiful, and you are never far from the relaxing porch. Would stay again in the future, highly recommended.

Mike,
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was just what we needed to get away for a few days. That is a beautiful area up there, and I think we made the most of it. Snorkeling in Lake Wazee was probably the highlight. I will certainly keep your information on hand. I don't know when we will be vacationing again, but your cabin will most certainly be an option at the top of our list. Again, thank you so much for the quick turn around on getting us booked and your attentiveness while we were renting.
