Awesome house, convenient location, comfortable setting. My boys had an awesome time. We didn't get to use the hottube, maybe next time. The take some leave some culture was a blessing and we really appreciated all the supplies. My only knock on the property is the first floor heat, inadequate and the wood fireplace had functionality challenges. Other than that I would give the place a 5.

Owner's reply:

Sorry the wood pellet stove was not functioning during your stay. We typically have the property manager start it prior to our winter guests arrival so the great room is toasty warm. It does require minimum attention, so it is possible that it went out. I'm glad you enjoyed the home otherwise!

Great relaxing weekend!

We had a wonderful time in your lovely home. The pictures were true to form and everything was just as described right down to the comfortable furnishings to the much appreciated hot tub. Having a Dunkin Donuts a few minutes away was an added bonus. We found the property extremely relaxing and the perfect getaway for just the two of us. Had dinner at a lovely cafe across from lake harmony. The kitchen was very well equipped though we chose not to cook. TV had only a handful of channels so if you go, plan to bring some DVDs. There is a nice selection available in the home but mostly children's DVDs. There is a Redbox at the CVS across the street from DD which was very convenient. Also, stated firewood is provided but couldn't find it, bought a carload from firewood place for $15 bucks. Overall, would definitely recommend this home if you are looking for a comfortable, quiet vacation site which is close to many activities or great to just hang out if your goal is to relax. Great Family Vacation Home

My family had a fantastic time renting this vacation home in the Poconos for a week. Home is in a great location and convenient to many activities. It also had an open floor plan which made our fun times even more special. I would recommend this home to friends and family if they are looking for a place to stay. The price was within our budget and was much better than a staying at a hotel. I would definitely rent this home again.

Great Last-Minute Weekend Escape

July 4, 2011

Our group of five guys in our 30s had planned to go camping for the weekend, when the weather turned bad. Instead of losing the weekend that we'd all managed to free up in our schedules, we started hunting for last-minute houses on Friday morning. We totally lucked out with the Camelot Forest Chalet. It was perfect for a rainy weekend of playing cards, grilling steaks and hanging out. When the weather lifted, we walked across the road to do some fishing on the lake, where the bass were hitting like crazy. The owner, Steve, was super professional and really accommodating with the entire rental transaction, and we'll absolutely work with him again. All the contracts, info and payment is handled online, which really helped since we were doing things at the last minute. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable and laid-back spot for a small group to while away the weekend, this house is an outstanding choice.

My mother rented the house for the week & we had a wonderful time. Being able to all stay under one roof was awesome! Everyone from my grandmother down to my 1 yr old enjoyed your home. It has been a long time since we've had family dinners, long conversations in the same room & even got to spend hours just sitting on the front porch just being together since we are all now grown & married. I would like to thank you for all of the wonderful memories & hopefully next year our family will be back.

Wilderness feel but close to everything!

10 minutes from Camelback and JFBB, this is a great house that sleeps 9 in beds even before pulling out the couch or blowing up an air mattress. Awesome yards in front and back. Driveway (even diminished by snowbanks) fits 7-8 cars depending on their size. Perfect house for a close extended family or friends weekend with a kitchen table that seats 8-10 with the leaves in. Hot tub in back deck fits 5, 6, or 7 depending on how big/how close you all are! Only drawback for our group: no ESPN:( But with wifi and good cell reception we were able to get the game we wanted. We will be back to try out the house/the area in warmer weather!
