Description of the Blue Knob vacation cabin rental

Wintertime at our cabin in the woods! Wood burning stove for those chilly nights, hot tub, kitchen and full bath with shower. Sleeps 6 with one bedroom, loft and sleeper sofa in the great room. Beautiful cozy interior tastefully decorated, has solid pine ceilings and walls and oak floors. Quiet, peaceful surroundings on 75 acres of land to hike, snow shoe, cross country ski or sled. Summertime, enjoy the hammock and outdoor cooking on the firepit. When checking out our link, take a look at our 1830s farmhouse on the property that sleeps 10 and has all the amenities of the cabin. Area Information

Central PA is home to many state parks and outdoor activities. We are close to Blue Knob State Park, Shawnee State Park, the Hawk Watch, wineries, and Historic Bedford.

Amazing!!

My cousin and I just rented the cabin for the weekend for a birthday(mine)/weekend getaway which we both desperately needed!! Her being a full time student as well as having a full time job and internship, and myself workin full time and being a fiancé and mommy, we dedfiitely needed a nice, quiet weekend to just relax and do whatever we wanted! This cabin was all that and more! It super exceeded all of our expectations!! We were so comfortable and felt right at home! The hot tub and woodstove were the extra touches to just be able to sit back and enjoy the quiet! We went down into town and visited historical Bedford and even went on a self tour of the Covered Bridges of PA!(which Wayne and Patty left a notebook with several places to eat, directions how to get to immediate locations and lots of history about their cabin, farmhouse and life) It was just all around the most perfect weekend! We are so grateful to have found this place and To Wayne and Patty for allowing us to stay! I recommend this cabin to ANYONE! Wayne and Patty were also so nice and thoughtful! When we arrived Friday night, they had left lights on for us and the woodstove had a beautiful fire already going! We were completely speechless when we walked in! The pictures do this cabin no justice, it's a must see in person to truly understand how beautiful, peaceful and serene it is!!! I really cannot thank Wayne and Patty enough!! =)) It was a beautiful way to celebrate my birthday! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to stay!!

My boyfriend and I wanted a last minute place to go and we found this cabin! It was so beautiful and private! We had a wonderful time together. The hot tub was so relaxing and the view at the top of the hill was gorgeous! We can't wait to go back!!

What a wonderful experience! Beautiful rustic cabin tucked away in the woods. Wayne and Patty have created a casual and very comfortable atmosphere. The location was perfect and we had everything necessary for total comfort: the full kitchen, hot tub, tv/dvd, clean, full-bathroom and lots of privacy. The cabin was very clean and well organized. The coolest part: Wayne described how he built the cabin by hand and, as we looked around at the vaulted ceilings, wooden beams, and precision woodwork, all accented by Patty's tasteful decor; we could really appreciate the amount of work and heart that actually went into the creation of this restful retreat. We're checking your calendar now for future availability. Thank you both for a truly relaxing three days ....nourishment for the soul

Hideaway Hollow has been a dream that belongs to both my husband and myself. Raised on the property, I grew up appreciating the simpler life we live here. Surrounded by acres of open fields and woodland, it was where I hiked with my collie as a child and today, I walk my retriever on these same 75 acres. We fondly welcome our children home to enjoy the land with us, to let their children and there pets be part of this spacious, beautiful landscape that has lovingly been in our family for 3 generations. My husband Wayne, sees the farm from a New Englander's eyes and holds a different appreciation for it than I do. He loves the view, the surrounding mountains and the absolute peace that he never knew living in the center of Massachusetts. Hideaway Hollow is where we call home and it is this treasure we are excited to share with you, our guests.
