Perfect seclusion.

We were looking for something that was totally hidden in the trees and we found it. The view of the mountains is nice and face south west for a good sunset. The stairs to the master are a little steep and if you bring family, don't expect a lot of privacy in the master because its balcony is open to the living room. For the two of us it was great though. The hot water had a slight sulphur smell I guess from sitting for a long time and the hot tub will turn itself off so you have to pre-heat it about 30min before you plan to get in but other than that everything was great!

Big Chill

I booked the Big Chill for the holiday weekend beginning December 30, 2010 and ending Sunday January 2, 2011. Our visit was cut one day short due to the snow/ice of the previous week and we were refunded for one night. The cabin was beautiful, clean and well maintained. My husband and I slept in the bedroom on the main floor. Our children and their spouses used the other two bedrooms. They both stated their beds were uncomfortable. This was the only complaint any of us had. We had a great time and even with the inclement weather were satisfied with our stay. We did have a hard time finding the cabin! We don't usually have problems with directions so we would recommend updating or revising the directions.

Wonderful Secluded Getaway

What a wonderful time my husband and I had at your cabin. It was very clean, well decorated (I especially loved all the cute bear decor) and it was fully equipped with anything you would need. We so very much enjoyed the peace, quiet and seclusion that it had to offer. We had such a good time we never ventured into town. We snuggled by the fire, relaxed in the hot tub, did a little hiking, played a few games (great selection by the way!) and just relaxed listening and watching all of the wildlife on the property. The cabin by far exceeded our expectations! Thanks again to you and your husband for allowing us to spend our special anniversary in your lovely cabin, we hope to be back in early spring.

Thanksgiving

Our family of four generations gathered at the Mountain Joy cabin. It was a wonderful experience in a tranquil atmosphere. The beautiful cabin provided all the essentials and we had a fabulous Thanksgiving meal. The scenery was breathtaking with the fall foliage still changing. The view from the screened porch and hot tub was breath taking. The crisp mornings made for refreshing morning walks. We toured the town of Blueridge in all its holiday glory and then proceeded on to the town of Ellijay. It too was a wonderful small town Christmas setting, wonderful shops, and the Santa train was a unique experience. 'Mountain Joy' was truely a joy for our family to experience and will provide memories for this family for years to come. Thank you. Jo Ann Alderman
