Area Description

Fallen Timber Lodge is a beautifully appointed lodge that enjoys a 230 degree panoramic view of the Toccoa River and surrounding North Georgia Mountains. As you sit on the covered porches off the dining room or master bedroom, you can hear the rushing waters of the Tocooa River, view the Cherokee Indian Fish Trap, and watch the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway go by at less then 10 mph. There is a path taking you down to the River 's edge where you can enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking, or canoeing right outside your cabin. Fallen Timber Lodge is located less than 10 miles from downtown Blue Ridge, McCaysville, GA/Copperhill, TN as well as the Ocoee Olympic Whitewater Center.

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Fallen Timber last week. The cabin is so beautiful. What a wonderful place to rekindle old friendships. We are a group of retired Radiology Business Managers from 3 states that always traveled together when we worked. One of our members died three years ago and he always planned our trips. After he died, we let time go by without seeing one another and our trip last fall to Riverview Lodge started what we hope to become a twice yearly get away. We are already planning a return trip in October.

You and your wife are to be commended on the quality and location of your cabins. We enjoy them so much. I was told by our group when planning for our first trip to the mountains to try not to get a dark gloomy cabin....so we sure lucked out when we chose yours! We especially enjoy the gourmet kitchens and the views from every room...(and the comfortable beds). We also enjoyed having the billiards table and the guys had a ball with their competitive spirits.

We chose your cabin with confidence, and the entire process from reservation through check-out has been seamless and well-managed.

The cabin is just as advertised - beautiful, luxurious, and very comfortable. And what can you say about the view! STUNNING! We've had a great visit. Despite the heat wave, we enjoyed horse back riding, whitewater rafting, the train ride, tubing, and shopping. We're already planning a return in cooler weather!
