The Cottage Creek

Located in the quaint town of Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, directly on a creek, the Creek Cottage is a dream vacation home. Only a two hour drive outside of the District of Columbia, this picturesque water-front home resides in one of America’s oldest towns, which in 1984 was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Enjoy tranquil fishing and boating in the summer, hiking all year round, and nearby ski-ing and tubing in the winter.

In the winter, one can choose to go skiing or tubing for the day or even just the afternoon, at Ski Roundtop, only a half an hours drive from home. Right off the backyard of the Creek Cottage, runs the Yellow Breeches Creek, consistently stocked with trout, this creek has recently gained a national reputation to being home to some of the best fly fishing in America. It is also less than an hour away from outlet mall shopping.

The Allenberry Play House is the famous resort owned and operated by the Heinz family. The Historic Allenberry staged their first play in 1948 and has continued throughout the years with class and elegance.

One of the America’s most historic landmarks, The Gettysburg Battlefield, is located only half an hours drive from the Creek Cottage. In the same amount of time, one can drive out to Hershey Park and enjoy all the rides, entertainment and chocolate one’s inner child could desire.

The creek cottage has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large great room consisting of an open kitchen, an entertainment center and a dining area. The master bedroom has a King sized bed and en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. The other downstairs bedroom has 2 single beds. The upper floor has a bedroom, with two twin beds and an adjoining sitting room, with a queen sized pull down futon. Ideal for a family, short or long term rental, or home leave in the USA. It is also close to Dickinson College - ideal for home-coming weekends, college visits, or graduation weekend.

Boiling Springs is located in Dutch Country, Pennsylvania, USA. It offers spectacular scenery, a theatre and other local events. It was founded in 1845 as a village surrounding the Children’s Lake, right on the Appalachian Trail. The Memorial Clock Tower, erected in 1956 and the Boiling Springs Mill, on record as early as 1785, are two landmarks in the village.

Boiling Springs was also a site for the underground railroad before the civil war, a tourist destination in the early 1900’s and a stop along the Appalachian Trail. It is now a location for quaint shops, some art galleries and a wonderful restaurant. Overall, it offers a small town feeling and relaxation and tranquility away from larger city life.
