The house worked great for all of us to gather and go through pictures for my mother in-laws memorial service. The yard was in need of some TLC and the hard wood floors were in need of a very good mopping our feet were black by the end of the day, all in all it worked great for us but could use dome deep cleaning.

Homeowner ruined our vacation!!

I don't really know where to begin. It was July and 100 degrees outside. The AC was not working properly and upstairs (where the bedrooms were located) did not get below 88 degrees. Miserable for sleeping. Our second day there, a repairman arrived and fixed the AC. How nice, I thought. And then there's more. The next morning, we awoke to a male cursing and yelling in the front yard. It was 8:00 a.m. and he was clearly complaining about us, accused us of "breaking" the AC. We started to get ready for the day. About 45 minutes later, his wife came into the home and upstairs. She didn't knock. She didn't announce her presence. She just came upstairs. We were in various stages of getting ready for the day, some of us not quite dressed, one in the shower. She did not say hello. Her first words were, "What did you do to the air conditioning?" Excuse me? Good morning? It turns out there is a clause in the contract stating that tenants are not allowed to turn the AC below 78 degrees. It wasn't even cooling below 88 degrees when we arrived but after it was repaired, we turned it to about 72 degrees (far more reasonable for sleeping in my opinion). For the next several hours, her husband yelled at us and she lectured us. They insinuated that we had already forfeited our deposit. My husband and I are attorneys and I had the contract with me. I'll just say it was sketchy. The AC clause was an add-on at the very end. My guess is that their AC unit does not work well and they tried to create a way to blame tenants. More importantly, "violating" the bogus AC clause was not a basis to forfeit the deposit. That morning and all of the conflict really ruined the day and possible the trip. The day of our departure, Mrs. Owner sat in her car across the street and watched us while we packed up and left. We folded the bedspreads as instructed, took out the garbage, etc. She didn't even say anything. When we got home, I did not receive my deposit back within the required 21 days. I sent a letter to the owner requesting deposit. Normally, I would have sent a rather nice request but, given what had happened, I sent a vey formal letter threatening suit should it not be returned. I mailed and emailed the letter. That evening I received an email response stating my check must have been lost in the mail. I don't buy it. I've never lost a deposit in my life. I'm a good tenant and we are go-with-the-flow type people. It was a really bad experien

This place is great. Super close to restaurants, walking path, the boise river, and more. The condo itself is really nicely furnishied with all the amenities of home. We loved it, and would definetely go back again.
