Gated Tennis, Pool, Beach Access community (#31474)

The condo is spacious, very well appointed and LIKE NEW. Amenities such as the very comfortable beds, gourmet kitchen, large flat screen TV, surround sound and the high-speed internet connection abound. All the comforts of home. Half the fun of going to the private island beach (chaise lounges and umbrellas provided at no cost) is the free shuttle boat ride, on which you're very likely to see a dolphin! We made frequent use of the free canoes and kayaks, as well as the lovely pool and jacuzzi at the end of the block. The Pelican Landing Fitness Center rivals any commercial club in terms of equipment, personal trainers and group programs available. My wife and I did some great bike rides on nearby Lovers Key and Sanibel/Captiva. There are also plenty of walking and biking trails within the Colony / Pelican Landing complex. Finally, saving the best for last, the people in Merano make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. A great bunch of people! The condo we stayed at in the Merano neighborhood at the Colony was wonderful. The unit was decorated beautifully and every conceivable amenity was at our fingertips. The private beach, the community pool and the miles and miles of roads for walking and biking were amazing. The on-site fitness center and exercise classes were great. This area is close to everything - shopping, restaurants and many golf courses. We had an amazing time.
