 Snowy retreat, January 24, 2008
By N. Bumgarner (New Bern, NC)
We spent 4 days at the house. We had 8 people in our group, 5 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of room for everyone to have a bedroom to themselves. The house was well equipped with appliances, linens, and dishes. The only problem we encountered was the fireplace upstairs. We tried to use it twice and the smoke would blow into the house instead of up the chimney. It was not near anything but the drive into Boone was not bad. The children liked having the room outside to play and hike. Overall we enjoyed the house and would stay there again!

 winter getaway, January 3, 2008
By Paul Wickard (Brunswick,Ga)
The cabin was very clean and had a great atmosphere. We enjoyed the area very much. Very addicting. Very secluded but still close to everything. We skied at Hawksnest and visited Boone and Grandfather mountain. Very nice and great time for our family.

 Relaxing , October 15, 2007
By Karen Hurd (Tampa, FL )
The cabin is very well kept. And the ambiance is amazing. We enjoyed sitting outside everynight listening to the frogs. There was plenty of space to accomadate all of us and the stuff we brought. The down fall of this cabin is that it is not very close to anything and kind of hard to find. Overall though we really enjoyed our family vacation and would visit again.
