Description of the Boothbay Harbor vacation cottage rental

This classic turn of the century winterized cottage is situated on the beautiful shores of Linekin Bay. East Boothbay is just three miles from the town of Boothbay Harbor but a century apart in terms of hustle and bustle. The Cottage is on Paradise Point Road which is a very private setting on which there are less than a dozen homes. The cottage is at the head of the bay and is directly on the shore (within 3 feet) of Linekin Bay with a Westerly view. It also has a view of Cabbage Island.

The water views are from all three bedrooms, dining room, kitchen and living room. The views can be admired on the porch which is directly off the dining room and consists of delightful sunsets, quiet boat traffic, with lobster boats, numerous sail boats,kayaks plus people who canoe in around the Bay. The spacious deck which is 20'x16' has a "runway" down to the water with another floating 12'x16'dock. With the 8-9 foot tides that Maine has, there is a changing array of shore birds and sea life with the changing tides.

The upstairs has three bedrooms with a full bath. There is a king, double and two twin beds. First floor has large livingroom with fireplace, full dining room which overlooks the water. Good workable kitchen with stove and side by side refrigerator. We leave the dishwashing to be done by you. There is a 1/2 bath on first floor. The lower level has a bath with shower and direct access to the deck and dock.

The cottage comes fully equipped with the exception of your own linens. There is a propane heater to take the chill off in the off season. Lobster can be delivered right to the dock by a local lobsterman. A deepwater mooring is also available for your favorite boat.

Local attractions are a short distance such has hiking trails, a dinner theater, fishing rental boats, Monhegan Island excursion boat, numerous restaurants (which offer the freshest seafood along with many other specialties), quaint gift shops, tour boats for whale watching and island tours,deep sea fishing boat, close by beaches for swimming, tennis, golf, miniature golf, and very active YWCA which has indoor swimming and excercise room.

Boothbay Harbor is a beautiful harbor with a historic wooden footbridge to the other side which offers more
shopping and restuarants plus abundant nightlife.
