Description of the Boothbay Harbor vacation cottage rental

Located on a private 5 acre property, this 2
Bedroom vacation home with 700 feet of shore frontage overlooks the Damariscotta River. Perfect location for family and friends to enjoy Maine.

The Tonry Cottage includes;
2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Sleeps 6 with a Fully
equipped Kitchen, all linen are included.
Satellite T.V.,VCR,DVD, Highspeed Internet, Fireplace, BBQ pit, Gas Grill, Washer/Dryer, Garage,
Deep water Dockage is available for up to a 24'boat.

The owners share the dock and guests are welcome to purchase the days catch directly off the Lobster boat, or go along with the captian to see how its done and haul a few lobster traps. Lobster, crabmeat, oyster, are available. all caught or raised in the Damariscotta River.

2 Kayaks, 2 Canoe available to use.

Area Information

From the deepwater dock watch the Seals sunning themselves on the Glidden
Ledge or Kayak to the Dodge point preserve
beach, for a summer picnic. There are 2 hiking preserves nearby, the 766 acre Schmid preserve 1⁄2 mile to the southwest and the 506 acre Dodge point preserve 1.8 miles to the north, has two sand beaches. Set well away from the River Rd, this is a great location for children with a large front yard to play Croquet or frisbee, and plenty of room to camp out and be closer to nature.

Relax on the covered deck and watch the river flow by, the osprey fish for dinner and seals playing. For those of you who enjoy fishing, this cottage is located on some
of the best striper fishing in the river. Sightseeing, and shopping are all located within a 10 minute ride. We are centrally located to Boothbay, Wiscasset, and Damariscotta.

Pemaquid Beach on the pemaquid Peninsula
Reid State Park at Georgetown
Popham Beach

Great Maine trip

Very nice authentic Maine cottage. It was exactly as described and we had a wonderful time. The owners do use the dock as a working lobster operation, but we did not see this as a bad thing, they even took us out for a short ride pulling up some traps (we then cooked up the days catch - where else can you do that?). Cottage was neat and clean. Lots of grass to run around on with the kids. About 15 minutes to either Boothbay Harbor or Darmisscotta. I grew up doing Maine vacations and this was as nice as any.

The cottage is great for 2 to 4 adults/kids with a terrific view of the Damariscotta River. We didn't use the couch pull-out bed. Property is beautiful, with access to the dock if you want to fish. Owners took us out for a short lobstering trip - fantastic experience! The location on River Rd is ideal for going north or south from this part of Maine. Really nice folks!!
