Description of the Boothbay Harbor vacation cottage rental

Free Maine lobster dinner is served with each week's visit ! The oceanfront economy cottage has 2 twin beds and all utilities including cable T.V and Wi-Fi. The cottage is equipped with a half bath. There is plenty of outside seating for viewing the many varities of birds. Also a dock and float is available for your use. We have kayaks or if you have a larger boat, we have a mooring available. Enjoy the peace and quiet listening to the waves gently lap the shore, watch the osprey, Canadian geese, lobstermen at work with their boats and traps. Or if you want more action the town center is a short 5 minute walk.
There you will find unlimited shopping, restaurants and tour boats.
We are located just off the Maine Island Trail between the Sheepscot and Damariscotta Rivers. Paddle in for a few nights rest. We have a great dock to tie up your kayak. The cottage has space for two people only. Transportation is available from the Portland International Jetport or from the Concord Coach bus stop in Wiscasset. You really do not need a vehicle once you arrive in Boothbay Harbor. This is a non-smoking and no pets property.
WE ARE CURRENTLY TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR THE 2013 SEASON.

There are many hiking trails, swimming, boating, shopping, tennis, golf and much more. All conveniently located. It's a great way to visit the area while not costing you "an arm and a leg" Please give us a try. You will not be disappointed !

Deposits: $200.00 security/cleaning deposit (it will be returned within 14 days after departure if the cottage is left as clean as you found it) and balance paid in full 30 days before arrival. Transportation is available round trip from Portland Jetport or round trip from the Concord Coach bus stop in Wiscasset, Maine as well as the Portland Transportation Center (Amtrak/Downeaster). If you travel by car the parking is free.
Payment Options: Cashier's Check, Money Order, Personal Check
Other Fees: Linens $50.00 per person per week or part of. You may bring your own linens if you wish.

A Perfect Vacation Cottage

I recently spent a most delightful month in this cozy cottage on the shore of Linekin Bay. Clean, comfortable, and cheerful, it was my home away from home, overlooking a lovely cove and Nancy's beautiful grounds. Eating all my meals on the covered terrace was a daily delight -- watching ducks and geese, osprey and seagulls, fishermen and lobster boats. Two brand-new kayaks are available for exploration of the bay. The location couldn't have been more ideal: quiet and peaceful, yet only steps away from the harbor and a few minutes' walk into the town of Boothbay Harbor with restaurants, beautiful B&Bs, tour boats, and shops. Mac and Nancy were wonderful hosts, always ready to suggest places to visit or tour, yet giving me all the privacy and space I wanted and needed. They are also experts at putting on delicious lobster feeds. They made my stay comfortable and fun. I highly recommend this vacation cottage and can't wait to return myself.

Owner's reply:

Eva really became like family to us during her month long stay. I especially enjoyed our walks and talks and showing her the local scenes around the town. She showed great interest in the area hiking all the Boothbay Region Land Trust preserves that are available and had her trail guide handy checking off each one as she went. Her month with us went by all too fast and we are looking forward to her return next season.
