Description of the Boothbay Harbor vacation cottage rental

The Hillside Cottage at Harborfields has an excellent view of the harbor over the fields, from a large wrap-around deck. Hillside comfortably accommodates four or five guests. There is a large master bedroom with queen bed and vaulted ceiling, and two twin beds plus a bunk in the living room. A woodstove and electric heaters take the edge off those cool foggy days. The fully equipped kitchen includes a toaster, coffee maker, and microwave as well as an outdoor charcoal grill (in addition to the range and refrigerator). Linens and towels are provided, and extra supplies are on hand in the linen shed. Guests have access to the dock, tidal beach and other amenities, including a coin laundry, and the best rope swing in the state of Maine! No TVs or telephones, but we do offer free WiFi internet access on premises.

Area Information

Harborfields Housekeeping Cottages is a family-friendly, pet-friendly, and boater-friendly vacation cottage destination with a quarter mile of shoreline on West Boothbay Harbor, and 8 acres of woods and fields. Our waterfront and dock is a hub of activity for boating, fishing, and swimming. In addition to the Hillside Cottage, we feature another four distinct one-bedroom cottages, one two-bedroom cottage, a studio cottage, a 5-bedroom authentic 1780 farmhouse, and a 6-bedroom lodge, each with its own unique water view, surrounding our meadow and lining our shore. We are quiet and secluded, yet still convenient to the town center. Relax in friendly informality and enjoy an old-fashioned Maine vacation—the way life can be—since 1948!
