Description of the Bormio vacation apartment rental
In a great position, with direct view over, and easy access to the World Cup ski pistes of Bormio, you can rent a splendid apartment directly from the owner for 1 to 4 week periods. This flat comprises: a large lounge with balcony, open plan kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms (one double one twin), two bathrooms and a garage.
Within walking distance of the historical town center, shops and restaurants, and within 5 mins drive or a free shuttle bus ride to the ski slopes. Perfect for ski/snowboarding vacations as well as summer getaways.

Ride Giro d'Italia climbs, July 24, 2006

In planning our trip to ride bikes on the classical Giro d'Italia climbs, our 16-year-old son and I discovered that Bormio is an optimal location. We set our base in Zoe and Dario's lovely flat. Although we had a car, we discovered that for most rides, we didn't even need the car and were able to begin and end our rides in Bormio. We climbed the Mortirolo (twice, from different directions), the Gavia, and the Stelvio. Our son did the Stelvio twice, once from the North and once from the South, and did an additional ride to Livigno and back. One of the most amazing biking weeks I have ever had. My wife, who is not a biker, found plenty to do, walking around the town, and she even found a nice hiking trail that begins and ends in Bormio.
Dario and Zoe were very helpful, not only with issues relating to the flat, but also with excellent recommendations on places to visit and directions. They were a pleasure to work with and the flat was everything they said it was - very light, well furnished, clean, and a wonderful place to come back to after a long bike ride in the mountains.
We'd love to come back to Bormio or possibly rent the Luino flat next time, as I understand there are great bike rides in that area as well.

Siamo un gruppo di 6 ragazzi e abbiamo trascorso nell'appartamento di Dario la settimana di Capodanno 2004/2005. La casa e' favolosa, ben curata e super accessoriata. Contiene tutte le comodita' che si possano richiedere: due belle stanze spaziose, due bellissimi bagni con docce stupende, salotto molto spazioso e box comodo per lasciare l'attrezzatura da sci senza doverla ogni volta portare in casa... La posizione della casa e' bellissima, fuori dal traffico che si ha nei periodi 'caldi', e vicino al centro del paese, raggiungibile con una breve passeggiata in pochi minuti. Inoltre per raggiungere le piste da sci c'e' il comodissimo servizio di pullman offerto dal comune di Bormio con la fermata appena fuori dall'appartamento (poche decine di metri!!!). Insomma la casa e' veramente bella e siamo rimasti tutti veramente soddisfatti, e poi Dario e' veramente una bravissima persona e vedrete che lo troverete un ottimo interlocutore che vi dara' sempre il piu' completo appoggio e disponibilita' in tutte le fasi di affitto dell'appartamento. We stayed in Dario and Zoe's apartment in Bormio this February. We were really impressed with the town, and the ski facilities, as well as the apartment itself. The rooms were well kitted out, and, having stayed in many different ski chalets and apartments we were really surprised at the care to detail shown. The flat is light and spacious for a family, and has two bathrooms so we felt we could have brought another couple with us. The fact that the flat is walking distance from the lovely town centre was nice too. Dario and Zoe recommended some great value restaurants in town, and really looked after us. We will be back!!!

everybody was impressed by the decor of the flat; it looks very modern and spacious but still retains an alpine feel. The flat has good views of the ski slopes and mountains. Its close to the town centre and ski slopes and within easy driving distance of Livigno and other ski areas.
Zoe left food and drink for us for the first mornings breakfast which was greatly appreciated. Bormio is large enough to have great facilities but still has a huge amount of character with old buildings and great bars and restaurants. I have recommended this apartment to friends and would definitely stay there again. Hopefully see you again, Deborah
