Description of the Borrego Springs vacation home rental

This fully furnished 3,800 s/f home (4,800 s/f under roof) with 4 bedrooms and 3-1/2 baths is located in the estate area of Borrego Springs, California and is surrounded by the pristine Anza Borrego State Park.

There are 2 bedrooms in the main house with 2 additional bedroom located in the guest house. Each bedroom has a private walled patio. There is also a den (that could be used as an additional bedroom), a gym with equipment, three fireplaces, 16 ft, beamed ceiling in the living room and 50 french doors. The property is situated on three acres and includes a private swimming pool, a large kitchen with two sinks and two refrigerators.

The house was designed by renowned architect Cliff May and was built in 1950 and has been featured in several publications. The home also features spectacular views of the mountains and is well suited as an artists retreat or family compound. Will consider both long-term and short-term leases at $ 6000 per month furnished or as a turnkey vacation rental in one-week increments for $ 2500 per week including twice weekly maid service. The property is also available for use as a film or print location and is located 2-hours from San Diego and 2-1/2 hours from Los Angeles.

Area Description

Borrego Springs is surrounded by the Anza Borrego State park. There are hiking trails within walking distance of the property and the Spring Wildflower bloom is not to be missed. The town of Borrego Springs has no stoplights, Starbucks or fast food chains. But there are several restaurants, two small grocery stores and all of the basics are readily available. For you sun lovers, the pool area is completely private. Most guests eat their meals pool side or under the covered lanai. The caretaker (John) is also an experienced desert tour guide and can provide customized tours (simple to deluxe - romantic to family) of the surrounding areas and the Anza Borrego State Park for a nominal fee.

Stargazing, midnight swims, and the outdoor shower is great! And the owner, Rick, is a pleasure to do business with even arranged for pool side massages for the two of us (the best i have ever had!). We are planning on taking the whole family back next year.
