Hinch Creek Cottages offers a relaxing atmosphere in a secluded area of the Ozarks. This 4 bdm, 1 bath cottage sleeps 10, is equipped with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. Located just 60 miles from St. Louis, Missouri Wildlife abounds in the area. Enjoy Deer or Turkey hunting in the surrounding hills. Canoeing and rafting trips down the easy-moving Meramce River, Huzzah Creek, or Curtios Creek are just a short distance from the cottage. Blue Springs Resort, Ozark Outdoors , Bass River Resort and Huzzah Valley Resort are just a few of the area canoe outfitters. Bring your own horse and park them in our stable. Or rent one from a local Trail riding Outfitter nearby. There are caves to explore, trails to hike, wineries and vineyards to visit, and many more surprises in this area. If you're looking for a quiet place to get away from the crowds, or a comfortable base for your outdoor activities you will find it here!

Area Description

We are located just 10 miles from Interstate I-44 and just 80 miles from St. Louis, Missouri. Six Flags theme park, canoeing/rafting are all within an easy drive. Many world famous Missouri wineries are located just a few miles 'down the road'. Missouri is called the 'Cave State' and there are several close by to explore! Maybe you yearn to hop on a horse and experience the Missouri Ozarks in this unique way. Trail rides can be arranged locally or you can bring your own horse. Horse Boarding is available.

When we arrived the Lodge was very clean and well kept..Everything was there as advertised. Sam and Nora were friendly and attentive to our needs. The area is teaming with things to do for the vacationer. We highly recommend you trying this little piece of heaven for your next trip back to nature!

I stayed here at the end of last December with a friend and I had the most wonderful time of my life. We went for walks and enjoyed movies and the rooms were all very nice. I hope to come back this year really soon. I never met Sam but Nora was as sweet as can be and I'm not just saying this because we share the same first name... She is a real doll. Thank you both so much for offering such beauty and tranquility. Again, I has the most memorable time of my life at your cottage... I'm just sad I forgot my walking stick.

Very relaxing. Quiet and peaceful. Senery was incredible and the cabin very comfortable, It had everything we needed. Great fireplace on cool nights and some of the best just walking we've found. Great view of the stars at night and beautiful fall colors during the day. It's just what we needed and will return. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us.

Perfect Getaway - a hidden treasure

We spent a week in this lovely cabin, which we arrived to find very clean and ready for our enjoyment. The construction of the cabin is excellent with a lot of attention to detail. The rooms were big and roomy -- excellent seating in the living room area and the bedrooms had a lot of walking space and places to tuck suitcases and traveling bags out of the way. Our host had provided us a nice load of firewood and other niceties were found throughout the cabin -- books, videos, magazines, games, walking sticks, spices for cooking, shampoo, etc. There is a barbecue grill and a wonderful fire pit for roasting marshmallows. We can highly recommend this as an excellent place to get away and partake of the local activities, walk through the mown meadows to observe all the wildflowers, or amble down to the babbling creek nearby. Lots of privacy and a great respite from city-life and the pressures of day to day responsibilities. The owner(s) was friendly, helpful, and put us at ease to make our stay enjoyable to the max! The photos offered on this site are nice, but do not clearly depict how nice this place really is -- a hidden treasure indeed. Highly recommend!
