What was once a rural outpost north and east of Bradenton, Parrish is now as pleasantly rustic as it always was, with just a touch of big city shopping and other urban conveniences. The property is located in the prestigious Twin Rivers development, a pristine country setting, surrounded by the Manatee River Wilderness Area.
Five years of careful planning and permitting ensure that the developers of Twin Rivers preserve the pristine nature of the upper Manatee River and Gamble Creek, while creating a neighborhood where residents can experience a bit of old Florida and enjoy the privacy of their own spacious backyard.
Twin Rivers encompasses approximately 1,800 acres of farmland, pastures, oak hammocks and wetlands with miles of frontage along the Manatee River and Gamble Creek. Hundreds of acres will be left undisturbed and hundreds of acres are designated as recreation and open areas. When complete, Twin Rivers will be comprised of 950 home sites developed in four phases.
Spend a lazy Sunday down by the river…residents may enjoy fishing, walking or jogging along miles of meandering hiking trails or relaxing on the shore with a picnic. The adventurous can launch a canoe or kayak at the River House and explore the placid waters of the river.
Closer to home, there are tot lots and picnic areas scattered throughout the neighborhood for residents to gather and socialize while children play. Also, an all-purpose grass play field is maintained to practice team sports.
The Manatee River is a wild and scenic waterway. Its waters at this location are brackish, a mixture of salt and fresh water. The gentle manatee (sea cow) can be found in these waters during the winter months. Wood Ducks find these calm waters in the finger creeks that meander off of the Manatee River ideal locations to nest and raise their young. The cedar trees found throughout this area are a prime indication of how pristine the environment is.

The home was perfect for our needs as the great room allowed us to spend time together, yet the bedrooms were spread out from each other. It was extremely clean and well supplied. We wanted for nothing. The master bedroom was large and very quiet with a lovely bathroom. The smaller bedrooms had hanging space for clothes and small cubicles in the closets for other items. The air handler outside the bedroom off the great room could be heard, so this room would be best for a sound sleeper. All mattresses were soft. Our favorite feature was the amount of wildlife we encountered while there - sandhill cranes, falcons, huge turtles, alligator (in one of the ponds down the main road), and other large birds. Every day was an adventure. The community was perfect for walking and riding bikes during the day. We truly enjoyed our week at this home!

What a wonderful vacation rental! The house exceeded our high expectations; it was extremely clean, comfortable and so well equipped. The view from the lanai was wonderful, we sat out every night! The kids loved the pool and hot tub. Above all, Jane the owner was such a pleasure to deal with and we appreciated all of her recommendations. Without a doubt, the best vacation rental we have had. We've been spending Feb. and Mar. in the Bradenton area for several years and this is the best rental home that we've ever had. The home is elegant and very comfortable, and extremely clean when we arrived. The view from the back lanai is incredible. We had the pleasure of seeing 5 deer, 4 racoons, an otter and numerous acquatic birds. We became friends with 2 Sandhill cranes who ate bread from out hands each day. The highlight was the morning they came by to show us their 2 new baby chicks. What a wonderful experience to see them grow each day. Overall, we loved our 2 months in this home and have already made plans to return next year.

This house was beautiful and wonderfully completely furnished with everything a guest could think of. Only one thought comes to mind --- more than one TV/DVD would be a good thing for those times when various options are needed. Micki & Ron Horstmann

It was everything and more than we could have hoped for. The pictures were gorgeous but didn't do justice or show everything. The jasmine in the landscaping was blooming making the air smell divine. Night and day all was quiet allowing for early bedtimes or late sleep-ins. Our kids loved the pool and thought the wildlife was awesome. Jane was extremely helpful and always available for any questions or concerns.
