You can enjoy relaxing on the lanai or swim in the large heated pool overlooking the lake. Look out for the turtles, egrets and cardinal birds. You are only minutes from the world class beaches of Anna Maria Island, where the sea, sand and sunsets are unforgettable.
Newly furnished with a tropical feel the property is light and airy with a large living area with new furnishings and Sharp 37" cable TV,a separate family room/dining room also newly furnished with cable TV and DVD. The kitchen is fuly equiped with everything you need for indoor and out door dining. All kitchen equipment is new. Separate laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

This less busy corner of Florida is a beautiful place to get away from it all, yet It is idealy situated for discovering the whole region, with St Pete's and Tampa area in the north as well as Sarasota in the South. There is a huge variety of things to see and places to visit.
Busch Gardens is only 40 mins away and the theme parks of Disney, Unviersal etc. are less than 2 hours away. This region has its own set of 'Keys' just off the mainland, each one with it's own character and beauty, all with fantastic beaches and restaurants. Take a visit to Mote Aquarium on Longboat Key and get face to face with manatees, dolphins and sharks. Visit Fort De Soto where the Spanish first landed and discovered Florida.
Whitesands is perfectly situated for visiting beautiful Anna Maria Island and discovering its fine white sand beaches. You can hire a bike or a scooter and explore, go paragliding or kayaking through the mangrove swamps.
You can walk from the villa to De Sota National Park and learn about the Spanish Conquistadors and the early settlers. Also Bradenton Botanical gardens and the Robinson Preserve are less than 2 miles away. Golfers can choose between the numerous courses in the Bradenton area.
For families, visit Bradenton's Pirates Cove, Sarasota Jungle Gardens, the Pelican Man bird sanctuary, go on a dolphin and manatee watching trip round Sarasota bay, build sandcastle's on the beach or visit the circus when it's in town.

There are too many local restaurants to mention but the vast majority of the 'chain' restaurants are on Cortez road or the 41 Tamiami trail. Some of the best original old Floridian restaurants can be found on Anna Maria Island. The Rod n Reel pier restaurant, be prepared to wait such is the reputation of this place, however you can watch the sunset in the meantime. Rotten Ralphs the one hidden away by the boat yard - live music at the week-end, try the blackened Grouper. Pelcan Pete's on Cortez about a half mile before the bridge onto the Island.
for Kids there is loads to do. The Sarasota Jungle Gardens are a must, Smugglers Cove mini golf in Bradenton and Sarasota, where you can feed the alligaitors. Bradenton's Pirates Cove and the Pelican Man sanctuary. Mote Marine Aquarium, get face to face with dolphins, manatees and Sharks. Try building sand sculptures on Siesta Key.
The Ringling Museum in Sarasota is not to be missed. Built by the Ringling Circus owners, this 30 room mansion is full of art and has a circus museum as well as 60 acres of landscaped grounds.
