Perfect Long Weekend Retreat

Bear Necessities had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. The open floor plan was nice, and we loved the fireplace, hot tub, and gas grill. WiFi and cable were appreciated. It was the perfect cabin retreat, and we could have easily stayed a week. We will definitely return!! Thank you so much!

Winter weekend getaway

Well it wasn't much of a winter when we visited in January, the weather was beautiful!! Not to mention the cabin was absolutely breathtaking and just what we needed. My boyfriend and I are living apart from each other while I finish graduate school in Nebraska. Meeting in Branson was a perfect halfway point for us as he lives in Texas. When we arrived we were amazed at all of the ammenities in the cabin as well as the view from the back deck. The immense trees and wildlife were beautiful - and even more beautiful was stargazing from the hot tub at night. The beds were very comfortable and allowed us to get a lot of much needed rest, the kitchen was perfect for cooking, and the fireplace was a relaxing end to adventurous days. We enjoyed going to the lake both days we were there and just walking around and sightseeing as much as we could. Thank you for sharing your home with us - it was the perfect weekend getaway!

Thought it looked great from the pictures. Was truly truly amazed at the quality of the inside. Absoultey beautiful. 5 star all the way. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Every amenity one could expect. I'll be back this year. Forgot, very convient to all Branson attractions.

My Husband & I loved the decor in each room, it was so true to the mountain & beautiful surroundings. The fireplace & spa were so special to us. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The cabins are so close to Branson & Dollar City. This is our home away from home.

We stayed at the Tablerock Landing and were thrilled with our short vacation to Holiday Island. The place was very nice and clean. It had a wonderful view. Everyone we talked to was very nice and accomodating. We are definitely planning on another trip back!

In planning a trip to Branson, to visit my son who was working at Kamp Kanakuk, we knew we would need a large place for all 9 of us to stay. Multiple hotel rooms would keep us all separated, wouldn't work logistically, and would be very expensive. Thousand Hills' cabins was a place where we could all stay up late together, playing games and just hanging out. It was a beautiful cabin that met all our needs and was very reasonably priced. Great architectural features that I would use to build my own home. The front porch and screened in porch in back, were great places to hang out in the early morning and late evening, when it was a little cooler. The only down side was in the 2nd bedroom-the shower wasn't separated by a wall which made it a little more time consuming for us to all get ready in the morning. Other than that, I would highly recommend this to others and would stay there again on another family vacation to Branson!
