Description of the Bremen vacation cabin rental

Pemaquid Peninsula, Midcoast Maine overlooking lake. Experience simplicity and privacy. This 20 year old log cabin sits on a bluff overlooking a lake on the East Shore of Muscongus Pond. Enjoy the 1600 sq ft of open space living area with cathedral ceilings, skylights, wood floors and loft. Hike on trails or walk 200 yards down a gorgeous woodland path to swim or canoe or read on a raft. Located just one mile from the ocean. Kayakers can launch at nearby Muscongus Harbor or Round Pond. Go back in time to using gas lamps. Use a gas generator (push button electric start) to pump water and start the wood stove up for heat. Basic kitchen equipment provided. Combines the essence of being in nature with simple amenities. A rustic, secluded camp in the Maine Woods. Experience Maine's ocean, woods and beautiful, clean lakes.

We just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful vacation, thanks to your little log cabin in the middle of nowhere. It was amazing to be so isolated and solely spend time with one another. We played lots of games and swam and went in the canoe. It was our best family vacation yet. It was so refreshing to be in nature and living such a simple life.

We have just arrived here in Germany and would like to thank you for making our wonderful Maine experience possible. First of all we felt very comfortable in your cottage. We could feel your love for it while being there ourselves. The lake was so quiet and gave us the impression of having it all to ourselves, that is how quiet and peaceful it was. What a gift for us. We heard moose (or so we guessed??? ) in the evenings while having dinner on the porch, loons and other mysterious sounds enchanting us. We did some nice tours in the surrounding area, for instance in Camden we hiked up to Mt. Battie and were lucky to have an incredible view. The trails were even easy enough for Nicolas. We also rented a Kayak in Damariscotta and paddled down the Damariscotta River to Dodge Point, where we enjoyed the hiking trails for about an hour or so. A very special treat just around the corner from Muscongus Pond we found in having lobster one evening right by the water. In Round Pond next to the Anchor Inn we could order them together with mussels and corn, last serve is at 8 pm. We did bring everything else needed with us and it felt much like a picknick while watching the sunset. We were the last ones to leave and enjoyed that special atmosphere very much. We want to thank you again for letting us stay in your house and hope that one day we may come back again to that wonderful place.
