Sharon: Fran is an amazing hostess with so much experience and knowledge to share regarding the South Carolina upstate region and North Carolina mountains. Both Fran and Philip made us feel most welcome in their lovely private retreat. Staying in the master suite had the added benefit of using their amazing steam shower after a long day of hiking and touring in the beautiful area around Brevard NC. The queen bed was very comfortable and everything in our room was nicely appointed. I enjoyed Fran's taste in antiques and decorating of her mountain retreat. Montreat is a little off the beaten track of mountain hotels and motels but well worth a few added miles to enjoy true solitude.

Give Montreat a try, you will not find a more genuine hostess or mountain experience in the Brevard area.
