Wow - what a wonderful home to spend a week on the Cape. Four adults and fours kids and there was never a time that we felt cramped. The kids took over the downstairs for the week and the adults had the entire first level. Great setup. LOVED the outdoor space... the outdoor shower was a convenient and refreshing perk!!! Home was very well equipped, CLEAN, and convenient to all. I think we may return again next summer we loved it so much!!!

This house is truly only a 2 minute walk from the beach. An outdoor shower with hot water adds to the enjoyment of a beach vacation. The house has central AC & a well-stocked kitchen. Brewster is a great beach for kids. The water is shallow & warm. The flats are great fun to explore at low tide.

The Palmer House was head and shoulders above what we had expected, in all respects. The house is very well appointed and a pleasue for both the adults and children. The basement children's area was well received by the children and adults. It is well stocked with lego blocks, TV with VCR and DVD, and room to streatch out. As for the adults, the living room is very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with every utensil needed to prepare the most sophisticated of dishes. As advertised, the Palmer House is indeed a short walk to the best beach in Brewster; however, of equal import is the fact the house is a short walk to nearly every restaurant and attraction in Brewster. Essentially, except for the initial grocery run, the car can stay in the Palmer House driveway for the duration. Case in point, with a four year old in tow, we walked from the house by the cranberry bogs (big hit with the kids given the giant tadpoles and nearly ripe cranberries) to the Brewster Scoop for ice cream. The round trip of nearly three miles was not at all taxing. We are looking at our collective calendars for a suitable 2013 July/August date to repeat our wonderful Palmer House experience.

Palmer House is a nice rental

We enjoyed our stay in this house. The house was clean and well-equipped. It is not a large house, but there were adequate sleeping accommodations for 8 people. Living room and dining area were set up for 8 people. The location is ideal--a short walk to the beach. We love the Brewster beach. Sunsets were fantastic. The patio and outdoor shower were very nice. One thing missing is that there was no dishwasher. I would definitely stay there again.

This is the second year we have rented the Palmer House with our son and his family. It is very comfortable with queen size beds and air conditioning. The children enjoyed the backyard for tossing a ball or frisbee or playing in the sandbox. The sisters loved sleeping in the finished basement and having their own space to play. The beach is literally 3 minutes away down a sandy road and the beach is beautiful. We have rented in Brewster for many years and love the low tide which allows you to walk out for a very long way. The views are breathtaking. The caretaker lives next door and is there if needed. My family and I would highly recommend this property.

We are renting this house now and already have referred it to several of our friends. We currently have 2 families sharing the house- 4 adults and 4 kids under 6. We are minutes from a private beautiful beach in a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walking or riding bikes.

Three couples rented this beautiful home in July. It was spotless and just beautiful. Three queen size beds with a fully stocked kitchen and dining area for eight people. The basement was very large with another full bath and sleeping area. Beach was beautiful and a very short walk to the warm bay. The patio outside was a nightly ritual for us, just relaxing and quiet. The owner is just a pleasure to work with. Can't wait to rent here again next year!

we had a wonderful , relaxing time. the home was pleasantly decorated and had wonderful cozy colors throughout the cottage. it was very spacious, bigger than anticipated. the walk to private beach was short and enjoyable. the views were gorgeous. we loved staying there. the caretaker was friendly and helpful. we hope to return next year!!

My husband stayed at this cottage for one week in June. We have 2 children. A few other family members stayed with us as well (my parents and sisters). This rental suited us perfectly. It has a good size kitchen. The kitchen table has seating for 8. There is also a picnic table and hammock in the backyard. The street is very quite with few cars. The beach is a very short and easy walk. The Brewster beaches are great for kids. I hope to return to this rental in the future.

An amazing and beautiful home. Literally 2 minutes from a private beach, just down a path. Basement is actually bigger than described, with 3 beds and 2 futons. Home is in a good, relatively private area and is a 10 minute drive to a grocery store and other shopping. The owners are trustworthy and nice. The caretakers, who live in the adjacent lot, are also helpful and friendly. I rented this home with friends from the College of the Holy Cross as a way to celebrate our graduation. It worked very well for this use, but I can see how the home could easily work for a large family or several families wanting to spend a week on the Cape.
