Cape & Long Pond - Spring & Summer Fun!
|Per week:||$1,000 - $2,400|
Cozy home with indoor and outdoor fireplace, large cook-in kitchen, robust sunsets and wrap around deck will help you enjoy the salt air and bright colors of the
Cape this spring and summer. Choose spring solitude for long beach walks and affordability or the summer months of swimming and boogie boarding. Anytime is a wonderful time on the Cape and Long Pond. Read our reviews to see what our guests love about our home and Cape.
Wouldn't you rather wake to the sound of the trees and birds than your alarm clock back home? Red flannel hash at Hangar B, cranberry pancakes at Grumpy's, fresh halibut from Breakwater Fish, local fruits from Satuckett Farm Stand or coffee ice cream from the Sundae School? You can cook in this family style kitchen or eat out at nearby great eats.
Cape Cod home with small sandy beach on beautiful, clear Long Pond, close to bike paths and ocean. Bring your own boat or use our kayaks and canoes. Large deck with lots of birds, shade trees and magnificent sunsets over Long Pond. Grill out or eat out; Breakwater Fish Market, Satucket Farm Stand, and terrific restaurants like ABBA and Beach Inn near by. Fully equipped home for you and your family. Anchor your boat. Swim to the floating raft on the pond, play ping pong, pool or hop on your bike and take a short ride to the nearly 40 mile long paved Cape Rail Trail. Large, open floor plan with fireplace. The weather is fantastic year round! We are on a hill and have lots of cross ventilation and ceiling fans in most rooms, and AC in second floor bedrooms. Bring your swim suits, a good book and favorite foods to cook; everything else is ready and waiting for you.
We recycle and use pond friendly cleaning products. We support our local resources and are members of Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore, Wellfleet Audubon, Cape Cod Natural History Museum and the Friends of Long Pond Association.
Lots of ocean and bay beaches to choose from. Just a short drive to the best breakfasts on the Cape, unless of course, you are making it in the large eat in kitchen of our home. Miles and miles of paved bike trails are a short ride from the house. Bike to the ocean, Cape Cod Bay or into Chatham or Wellfleet.
Local fish store cooks and cracks your lobster to order. Nearby farm stand provides great corn and more. Lots of antique and second hand stores in area. Lots of antique stores just minutes away in Dennis and Brewster.
Just a short drive to Cape Cod National Seashore or Nauset Beach. So much to enjoy and a large wrap around deck to just take a break and enjoy.
Postal address is Harwich, but it is located west of HWY 6 and closer to Brewster, near the Brewster town line.

We could not have been happier
September 28, 2014
This house is a real home, VERY accurately described on the website. The kitchen is spacious for cooking and well stocked. The bird feeders outside the kitchen window provide special delight throughout the day for bird watching. The bedrooms are spacious and each with its own full bath. The beds are comfortable. The living room and TV with cable, internet, lots of videos, books, games, puzzles, fireplace, deck, and gorgeous sunsets make this a wonderful place to relax anytime during the day and evening. The location is just as described: easy to get to and in great proximity to whatever you might want to do on Cape Cod. In addition to all the excellent recommendations in the book Susan provides in the house, one gem we discovered in nearby Chatham was the Orpheum Theatre, newly renovated, and inside is the Vers Restaurant, a little pricey but well worth it serving incredibly creative, tasty, farm to table gourmet food (recommend making a reservation). Susan was most helpful by getting us ready, and by quickly answering the few questions we had. Though this was our first time staying on Georgia Lane, we would love to stay here again whenever we return to Cape Cod.

Most relaxing vacation EVER!
August 25, 2014
We have rented summer vacation spots for 6 or so years. This was by far the most relaxing for us. The home is great but the deck is the best thing! Of course we loved the pond as well. Warm and clean! We played board games and made puzzles throughout the week. Much family fun was enjoyed by all!
Happy once again

We recently returned from our twelfth straight year at this delightful house on Long Pond. There so many things that make staying at the house so special. The deck overlooks Long Pond and it provides a perfect setting for meals and relaxing reading. The interior of the house is very comfortable. We always feel as if we are at home, rather than at a rental property. Each morning starts with a peak out the window to see the humming birds at the feeder. The grounds are perfect for a game of croquet. I could go on and on about the many amenities. Suffice it to say that there are many reasons why we keep returning to 13 Long Pond.

My family and I have been visiting the Cape each summer for years, and we try to rent a place near or on Long Pond. I begin my search as early as December, and I enjoy reviewing all of the descriptions and photos. Well, this year we found the PERFECT house! It is an incredibly charming home, SO comfortable that I could have stayed forever. The owners have thought of everything to make the trip special. From the well-stocked kitchen with top appliances to the delightful game room, you couldn't ask for anything else. Waking up to the sounds of birds outside our windown each morning and sipping coffee looking out towards The Pond, was SO relaxing. While the house is well situated to everything the Cape has to offer - beaches, mini golf, restaurants, etc. - one could easily be content just reading in the hammock and visiting the private secluded beach. My sons loved taking the kayaks and canoes out for a spin! I will certainly try to rent this property again - hopefully in the fall! The folks who own this house without a doubt care about their guests and take great pride in their home. This is a winner!!!

Perfect house, perfect retreat, perfect location. Peaceful and yet close to all the action. It was a dream watching the sunset on Long Pond surrounded by good friends and a glass of wine.

Would love to return

This was a lovely home for our family vacation with one college child and one high school child. The canoe and kayaks that were included with the rental were the icing on the cake. Kitchen was incredibly well stocked. I haven't enjoyed swimming in a lake so much in a long time. Great location on the Cape too.....such easy access to everywhere we wanted to go.
Beautiful long pond sunsets!

We loved our stay on Long Pond this summer! The pond in beautiful and the sunsets amazing. The home is comfortable, roomy with a beautiful deck that is safe for kids. A lovely, quiet location.
Great cottage right next to Long Pond
June 2, 2012
We had a wonderful time on Georgia Ln! You can see Long Pond from multiple decks in the house--great places to have coffee in the morning. There's plenty to do in the surrounding areas. The owner has provided several maps and a Cape Cod guide book to help you get around. If you'd rather stay near the house, however, you'll never run out of things to do: kayaking and canoeing, billiards, ping pong, board games, and puzzles.

Our Honeymoon Adventure
October 13, 2011
We had such a great time on our honeymoon. We had never been to Cape Cod before, and were pleasantly surpised! Our stay, was just what we needed to unwind, and relax after our big day. We brought our bikes, and road 14 mi. on the rails to trails, bike trail to Marconi Beach, went whale watching in Provincetown, went to the Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwhich, ate at some of the best resteraunts, Blue Moon Cafe in Dennis, Cape Sea Grill in Harwichport, The Wee Packet in Dennis Port, The Hot Chocolate Sparrow in Orleans.... just to name a few. This house was just far enough off the beaten path, yet centrally located, with all of the conveniences we needed. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely like to return sometime in the near future. Thank you, once again! Kristin & Mike

We thoroughly enjoyed spending a week on Cape Cod in a lovely house on Long Pond. The house was very comfortable and hospitable. We especially appreciated the internet connection and well equipped kitchen, seeing birds at the feeders. Location was ideal for biking, hiking, and sailing. Even though we live in Massachusetts, we had never vacationed on Cape Cod before. We hope to go back in the future and would definitely consider staying in the house again. We will recommend it to our friends. The owner was extremely helpful and very easy to reach when we had questions.
Georgia Lane - A Lovely Home
June 14, 2010
Great stay! Very nicely appointed and beds were to die for! You can tell this is a home - not just a rental house. Everything we needed to cook in kitchen plus more. Lovely deck, 2 grills, and very nice location. Close to Orleans, Eastham, P'town, Hyannis, etc. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

A Little Piece of Heaven
October 9, 2009
Thank you for a wonderful vacation. This home is lovely, comfortable, and fully equipped as advertised. The beds even allow a good night's sleep. It was close to everything. We went canoeing on the pond, ate fried clams, and put our feet in the water at Coast Guard Beach. Choosing a rental home from pictures on the internet is always a little risky but boy did we win big with this choice. We can't wait to go back!
August on Long Pond
September 7, 2009
We happened to choose the best week this summer for the Cape. We loved the location. A hop onto Route 6 to the Marconi Beach and waves (Boogie boards available) and then back home for leisurely floating or kayaking on Long Pond.(also available) As my son said, the best of both worlds. This home is truly well equiped, so dont bother to bring anything but the food you want. It has a wonderful open layout so what ever you are doing you are not isolated. Loved the 3 baths- one for each bedroom. Take the recommendations Sue has listed. The best seafood from Breakwater and so easy to get to. No traffic!!! Just loved it.
Cape on Long Pond
September 12, 2008
This home was in a great location, easy access to the bike trail, local beaches and shopping. Quiet neighborhood, privately situated, nicely decorated, well equipped home; huge master bedroom with private bath, interesting basement space with pool and ping pong table. A short walk to a private beach on beautiful clear Long pond.

We just rented this home and found it to be perfect. Fully furnished and equipt with a second refrig in the garage and even a pool table in the basement. Roomy, clean and a pretty new propery. This is a home nad not just a rental cottage. The area is central to the whole lower end of the Cape but very quiet and private with a clean large pond just 300 feet away.
Love your home. Glad we can come back year after year. Really homey. Love the pond. Thanks for another great vacation.
