Description of the Bridgton vacation cabin rental

Directly on the lake with private beach and private dock access to the water!!

Come enjoy our four season lake front cabin located directly on Long Lake where Stevens Brooks meets the lake. This home has been in our family for several generations and is a very special place. The setting is very private, on over 1 private acre with only one direct neighbor. Walk out on the private penisula and enjoy being surrounded by the water. The cabin boasts a large, 200 sq ft exterior deck with direct views to the lake. It's a great place for a BBQ after a day of boating, skiing or hiking.

This three bedroom family cabin has been recently renovated and has a brand new kitchen and all new bathrooms. The kitchen boasts an induction cooktop and full gourmet accessories (All-Clad, Henckels, Kenmore Elite...) as well as a 3-burner Weber gas grill on the brand new cedar deck. The home has three bedrooms - two with full beds and a children's room with two twin beds.

Bridgton, in Western Maine offers a lot to do regardless of the season. During the summer, rent a boat and enjoy the lake. Or jump in for a swim. Or simply launch a float and relax in the water. During the winter, the area boasts Shawnee Peak, a quick 15 minute drive or Sunday River, 30 minutes north for excellent skiing. Long Lake is over ten miles long for those who enjoy Nordic skiing or snowshoeing.

Easy access to downtown Bridgton for shopping and restaurants, North Conway is within 30 minutes for the tax free factory outlets, shops and more skiing, the Bridgton Drive-in Theater is a real treat during the summer, several 18 hole golf courses are close by, and the Fryeburg Fair in October is only minutes away.

Area Information

Bridgton Maine is located 40 minutes west of Portland Maine, and just 20 minutes east of North Conway, NH. This quiet, but vacation friendly community has several large lakes, views of the White Mountains, and access to the Saco River for a canoe trip off the beaten track. Plenty of shopping stores are close by, and there are several quality restaurants to choose from. There is a brand new Magic Latern theatre in downtown Bridgton for rainy days. And the outdoor drive-in is great summertiem family fun. This part of Maine is definitely a well kept secret, so come and enjoy the best of Maine!

Absolutely beautiful!

This cottage is perfect for anyone who is looking to relax and enjoy the surroundings. It is very private and quiet, it's directly on a beautiful lake that is perfect for families. There's a beautiful sandbar in the lake, close to the cottage that you can use the kayaks provided to paddle out to. We spent several afternoons there! The land that the cottage is on has large trees and gives some shade on hot sunny days. The kids spent the afternoons jumping into the lake off the dock. We also enjoyed several bonfires! The cottage is very spacious and has all the things that are needed for your stay. Everything in the cottage is as good or better than what you would expect. Grocery stores and other stores are just minutes away. This place was better than I expected and I would love to visit again!

Great Getaway

August 27, 2012

We are already planning on a return trip for next year. The house was beautiful. We couldn't have asked for better weather. The sun rise in the morning was breathtaking. Boating on the lake was fantastic. I caught the biggest Bass of my life fishing off the dock. We Kayaked every morning using the 2 Kayaks available at the house. Bridgton is a nice little town with very friendly people. I recommend this house to anyone wanting to get away from it all. Thank you for your house and hospitality. The Blondin Family.

Great Place to Unwind

August 6, 2012

This cottage (cabin to the westerners) is a gem! It's a great place to get away from it all but amazingly is very close to everything...supermarkets, restaurants, activities and a fantastic lake. Debra, the owner, has prepared a little family oasis, which offers all the comforts of home but in a rustic vacation setting. If you do rent this cottage, keep it pristine, it's a special place and we want to come back for more! The property comes with two kayaks which you can use to get out to the sand bar, a special little island and beach that is even listed on Four Square. There's also a nice dock and a great little beach in front of the cabin. There's nothing like ending the day with dinner on the deck and the call of the Loons at sunset. This is a great place but please don't book my week!

Great Family Vacation

July 10, 2012

What a wonderful week we had! This cabin strikes a great balance between "cabin-coziness" and modern amenities/conveniences and was almost perfect for our family. Between the sandy beach, the kayaks and evening loon serenades, we will surely consider returning. The cabin is clean and well cared for with recent upgrades that allowed for a comfortable stay. The cabin is on a sizable lakefront lot with only one adjacent (and friendly) neighbor, has a flat grassy area for the kids to play, is located near the center of Bridgton and is a short distance from other area attractions and activities. Deb the owner was wonderful to work with and we would recommend this property without hesitation.
