Description of the Bridgton vacation cabin rental
This charming cabin sits on a high hill with views of mountains, hills, woods and fields. Watch wildlife from the porch and gather blueberries at the back door.
Built in the 1930s as part of an old tourist lodge, the cabin is now a popular destination for artists, writers and others seeking peace and privacy. Renters appreciate the cabin's clean, bright, uncluttered interior, as well as the gentle feel of the surrounding land.
The cabin has a living room with fireplace, kitchen, bathroom with shower, wrap-around porch and 2 bedrooms upstairs with a double bed each.
The cabin rents by the week, Saturday to Saturday. Check in time is 2 pm and check out is 11 am. The rental per week is $450; for two or more weeks, $425 per week. A 7% lodging tax applies. A 50% deposit is required to reserve the cabin.
One well-behaved dog is allowed.
Area Description
This is lake and mountain country, offering numerous hiking, boating and swimming opportunities within a 5-mile radius of the cabin. Further afield is the White Mountain National Forest (45 minutes) and Portland (one hour).
The town of Bridgton with all amenities -- banks, antique shops, library, book stores, restuarants, supermarkets, natural foods store, standard movie theater and drive-in movie theater -- is 10 minutes away.
