A short path leads to several steps to access the pebbly beach front, perfect for swimming, walking or kayaking at most tides. The house is located on its own dirt road about 1/4 mile from the main road, Reach Road. It is an hour's drive to Acadia National Parks--Bar Harbor area and less to Stonington and mail boat tours.

Fully furnished with dishwasher, gas kitchen range, washer/dryer, linens and blankets. Three bedrooms with a king bed, two twin beds and a bunk bed. Two baths, one on each floor and an additional half bath on the first floor. Furnishings in the house are simple, yet well appointed and allow the house to be easily cared for. A soapstone stove with open fireplace will warm the house on a cool foggy day. The house has WiFi access.

Brooklin is the wooden boat building center of Maine and is the location of The Wooden Boat school. Within a short walk from the house is the center of the village where one finds the Brooklin Inn, restaurant and pub, a general store/cafe, an exceptional library with WIFI, a weekly farmers market and art, kitchen and craft shops. The local townspeople are quite friendly and the boatbuilders welcome you to look around their boatyards and shops.
