Description of the Brooklyn vacation apartment rental
The loft is very spacious and often used for photo shoots due to the great daylight - all of our guests have said that it is EVEN bigger on arrival than in the photographs! We are on a corner and there are eight big windows on two sides facing South and West. This allows streams of sunlight to make this space very warm and bright and also provides views of the Manhattan skyline and the Empire State Building, not to mention the stunning New York City sunset. There are wood floors and wood posts and beams and brick walls.
The extra large room is comfortably furnished with a big couch, reading chair and ottoman and coffee table-- television and full stereo with CD player and laptop hookup-- furnishings are easily movable to accommodate different needs for shoots and events which we negotiate separately. there is a queen bed behind a room divider plus velvet mattresses and pillows that provide additional lounging or sleeping.
The kitchen has a cast concrete counter top and glass tiles and is open to the living area with a dining table and chairs. It is fully equipped with new stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, double door fridge, microwave, coffee makers and all necessary items to cook meals.
One of the sleeping areas is behind bookshelves for some visual privacy and furnished with a queen size bed, dresser and closet. Linens are provided including goose down comforter and pillows.
The extra large bathroom is in white marble mosaic and equipped with a large glass and marble rainfall shower stall with high windows that allow you to look over Williamsburg rooftops while showering. There is a pedestal sink and lots of mirrors.
Area Information
That is the reason why there are many work/live spaces and recording and art studios. The area is very colorful and is a weekend destination for both native new yorkers and visitors. There are lots of murals on exterior building walls, which reflect the artistic atmosphere of this neighborhood. In this area there are many bars, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, wine bars, speciality shops, and night clubs. There are also ample facilities such as supermarkets and laundromats.
McCarren Park is nearby and in the summer there are many outdoor events and concerts. In this park there are children's playgrounds, jogging tracks and tennis courts. On the other side there is Waterfront Park, located along the East River, which has nice views of Manhattan.
Transportation: 1 minute to the L train to Bedford Avenue, J/M/Z trains to Marcy Avenue, G/L to Lorimer Street. B61 bus to downtown Brooklyn just out the door too.

Reviews for this vacation apartment rental in Brooklyn, New York

Spectacular and convenient!
December 7, 2011
Dear Jenn we had a great time in New-York and how much we liked your loft ! We had 3 wonderful weeks: we walked a lot, discovered fantastic places, met really nice people, ate very well and much more. We enjoyed our honeymoon and we will be back for sure! We show pictures of where we stayed and a lot of our friends could not believe it! Best location, sure better than Manhattan!

convenient and charming

This is really a great place where to stay. The apartment is a spectacular single room loft that is bright and quiet in the heart of lively Williamsburg. Fantastic view and high ceilings. Plenty of shops and restaurants are just one block away, and the L train takes you to West Manhattan in 15' or so. A perfect location to enjoy daytime activities and nightlife in both Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Unexpected pleasure in Brooklyn
July 30, 2010
May be one of my favorite NYC vacations, if not the favorite. From the moment of arrival, one block from Bedford, we took notice of the dynamic energy. After being greeted by Eric we carried our bags up the three flights of stairs, which one should be aware of. It was a record hot July day leaving the stairwell a bit daunting. Jennifer offered us a concise tour of the unit, item and sundry locations, as well as a description of the neighborhood. She offered eating and shop suggestions. The space was fantastic. For us, a much unused kitchen, but to be of great use for the right party. Sleeping for my wife, 20 year old daughter and her friend, my son, and myself was more than adequate and very comfortable. Bath and shower accomodations were clean with plenty of towels. Overall, the owners were great, the area was full of activity and the space was much appreciated by all. Highly recommended

Owner Supplied Testimonials

We were amazed to find that downtown Manhattan is more convenient from Williamsburg than when we stayed in a midtown hotel!
Better than staying in Manhattan!
Perfect location!
Williamsburg is great. There is a flourishing artist's community, tons of cool shops and restaurants and really interesting people to look at! We will definitely stay in this fabulous loft next time we visit NYC!
