Description of the Brooklyn vacation apartment rental

Located in historic Fort Greene, Broooklyn this large and comfortable apartment is centrally located to everything that makes this one of the most charming neighborhoods in New York City. Within blocks of the internationally renown Brooklyn Academy of Music, home of The Next Wave Festival, including the Harvey Theater and the Rose Cinema (a complex of four movie theaters inside the Academy's main building), Long Island University and Hospital, and Pratt Institute in the opposite direction. Fort Greene is also proud to be the home of the Mark Morris Dance Group.

The apartment itself is on the ground floor of a brick Italianate townhouse on a tree-lined Landmarked block, built before the American Civil War in 1859. You will enter through a private entrance into a large, open living room, dining room and kitchen.

The rear half of the apartment is made up of the two bedrooms and bathroom. There are French doors in the first bedroom that open to the patio and enclosed garden complete with a gold fish pond. the apartment is also newly renovated and decorated.

All of the restaurants, shops and other services are within a block or two either direction and will provide you with everything you will need to make your time here comfortable and fun.

The apartment is in excellent condition and is elegantly and fully furnished, and is completely outfitted for easy living. The well-kept and easily accessed garden, with its scenic koi-pond, was a pleasant surprise bonus. We were able to host friends for lunch and "high tea", and they all loved the place, and usually asked "how did you ever find this place?". , Tallahassee, FL What a great place to stay during a temporary job in Brooklyn! Homey, yet a lot classier and a better use of space than anything I manage in my own house. Even my young son, not one to usually comment on such things, loved his bedroom and the lovely garden. The immediate neighborhood is so peaceful, it's surprising that it's so accessible to pub trans, great restaurants and shops, and the beautiful Fort Greene Park. And of course the Saturday flea market 2 blocks away is a must. Paul was available and helpful while remaining virtually invisible. No creepy inkeepers here. Sure hope we can stay here again.
