Good initiation to Brooklyn.

We decided this trip to rent outside of Manhattan. Our stay was very comfortable, with a stocked kitchen, lovely shady backyard., quiet street, so good sleeping. Handy to grocery shopping, and subway, Prospect Park, etc. Etc. Fräulein and John were handy for assistance and directions. Overall, we enjoyed our five days, and look forward to returning, sooner than later.

A wonderful month in Brooklyn at the Garden Suite

We spent a month at this apartment because our daughter was in a Broadway musical, and being from Portland, Oregon, we wanted to 'live' a bit in the New York area. It was wonderful. Fraulein was very accommodating, with food, friendship, information and a charming, clean apartment. It felt like a home away from home. We went into Manhattan nearly every day to see the show, and sightsee, and just meet family and friends. The subway is just two blocks away, the stores around the apartment were very convenient and the people were friendly. The park is outstanding, and only three blocks or so away. We took many walks in that park. We felt safe. Several nights we came back after midnight and didn't have any problems. In fact, there were a lot of people coming home at that time as well. We miss Brooklyn, Prospect Park area. We plan to return maybe next year to see our daughter again, and 'live' as New Yorkers. We also went to Coney Island which is just the opposite end of the subway route from Prospect Park. Also the Brooklyn Museum is just a short walk away. We were so surprised to find the living experience there to be like a neighborhood knowing how huge Brooklyn is.

Sicuramente torniamo

We spent 8 night in Fraulein & John very comfortable apartment in Brooklyn. It was the perfect place for us to relax after walking our feet sore in Manhattan. The Subway is so close and lots around if you don't want to go into Manhattan. Very spacious place and everything possible that is needed to make breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fraulein really made us feel very welcome and had Bagels, Milk and much more so we didn't have worry about going to the shops when we arrive and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you very much Fraulein for everything!!!

We spent a great time last month in New York. My husband and I traveled from Buenos Aires and stayed at Lefferts Garden Suite for fourteen days. I chose the place looking for an apartment on the Internet. I saw the photographs and I read other guests´opinions and I wasn´t disappointed at all. On the contrary, everything was even better. The neibourghood is very quiet and safe, the apartment very comfortable and the owners are very helpful. The subway station is very near, nearer than what we had thought so we could travel to Manhattan easily and fast (about 20 minutes). And when we arrived, the fridge and the cupboards in the kitchen were full of food! I´m grateful to Fraulein and her daughter for their kindness. We felt really at home!

We are three adults from Barcelona and stayed at the apartment in December 2011 and has been a wonderful stay. The apartment is spacious, clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. Located within 5 minutes from the metro station where you can take a subway that takes you to Times Square in under 20 minutes. The owners are charming and willing to help with everything you need, plus the "welcome basket" with bagels, milk, eggs, juice and cheese is priceless! Thank you for everything, we felt at home!

"great new year's eve in Brooklyn!"

We arrived on 30th december to spend in USA our new year's eve; owners were very friendly and the house was very well equipped, clean and safe. 10 minutes walking from the first subway station, 3 minutes walking from TONY'S PIZZA that makes a very good pizza ( a little fat but great taste!) that can delivery you pasta, pizza, appetizer, meat and so on..; 10 minutes walking from ASSOCIATED that is a shop in which you can find everything: fruits, vegetables, yogurht meat, pasta, etc..., 10 minutes walking from Prospect Park that has inside Zoo, snack bar, activities. When we arrived the fridge was full of food and the store cupboard too. The owners provided also to the bathroom that was clean and full of products. The place was very safe, we were all around all the day and police is always everywere. We stayed 7 nights and at the end instead of taking taxi, the owner proposed us to pick us up to the bus station driving for us, in this way we saved money: that was very kind. the experience was great especially for couples or familys and if we come back of course would come there.

Wonderful Stay in Brooklyn

My wife and I stayed for over a week at Lefferts Garden Suite with our 1 year old babygirl. We had such a nice time. The suite is spacious and clean and it really makes you feel at home. It is situated in a nice and quiet part of Brooklyn, a 5 minutes walk to subway station and Prospect Park. Fraulein made us really feel 'king and queen of the castle'. We would recommend Lefferts Garden Suite, to everyone who wants to have a nice and cosy stay near NYC center. Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness. you made us feel at home. My wife and I stayed with Fraulein and John for two weeks and we loved it. The apartment is spacious and clean.Bathroom and kitchen had all the amenities that we needed and more. Great shower and a bathtub. If you would like to eat at home there are all the kitchen appliances you might need. The bed was comfy and the bedroom large. From day one Fraulein made sure we had everything we needed. She is the sweetest owner ever. She even went out of her way and bought grocerys for us on her own expense. The neighbourhood was great. A typical browstone house street with cherry trees. Very Brooklyn like. All the neighbours we met were very kind and open to conversation. Subway station is very near and it takes about 20 min. And the ride across the Manhattan bridge is great. There are not many bars in the area. Though we would recomend K-Dog bar and a small restaurant Blue Roost. All in all great experience and something we definitely would recomend.

"The real deal"
We all know that renting a place sight unseen requires a certain faith in the unknown. The Lefferts Garden Suite is exactly as it appears and is located in a quiet, safe, and lovely neighborhood with parking available right outside the apartment. Fraulein does an amazing job of providing breakfast foods and more to get you started but the area provides plenty of shopping and restaurants. In addition, the flat is close to the Metro and Prospect Park, great for walking and for us, biking. Brooklyn is a wonderful alternative to the expensive hotels and rentals in Manhattan and the Lefferts Garden Suite is clean, attractive, quiet and safe.

"Warmth and Comfort in Brooklyn"

We were warmly welcomed by Fraulein, our host, when we arrived, late at night, in Brooklyn after a 21 hour flight from australia. Her cheery smile, and warmth helped settle in straight away and was just what we needed. The apartment was warm, clean, nicely decorated and well appointed. We even had a lovely fresh batch of bagels ready for our first breakfast. During our stay we found all amenities close by - the grocery shop, the laundromat and the subway are literally a five minute walk. We were two adults and two teenage children and so the single bedroom apartment was a bit of squeeze but we managed - really better suited to a couple. Fraulein's and John's hospitality really helped to make feel welcome and they went out of their way to make sure our stay in NYC was the best it could be.

My wife and l had a really enjoyable stay at Fraulein and John's comfortable apartment in Brooklyn in December, 2010. When we arrived, Fraulein greeted us with a very warm welcome and she provided all the essential information to help us get the most out of our holiday in New York. Their large and thoughtfully decorated apartment is in a street of renovated Brownstone buildings that is only a few minutes walk from supermarkets and the Metro. A well stocked kitchen made eating at home a pleasure. If you are looking for a large comfortable apartment that is value for money and an easy trip to Manhattan by the Metro, Fraulein and Johns, garden apartment is well worth considering.

"Fabulous" From before I even checked in, the hospitality I received from Fraulein was superb. I arrived earlier in the day than scheduled but I was met with smiles and allowed to check in at 11:00 instead of 15:00 as my flight arrived so early. This lady is a diamond. She went out and bought me groceries out of her own pocket because she didn't think I would have had time to shop! Who shows such kindness and consideration nowadays? T The property is even nicer in real life than the pictures. Very, very clean and comfortable. The living area is nice and it has an excellent little sound system to boot. The bed is devine and very comfy. Bathroom and toilet pictures are not shown but it has a great power shower and is also very clean. It definately was fit for purpose but the hospitality is what did it for me. Being in this apartment is like staying with family. She pays attention to detail and has all the info you would need for your trip from theatre to food. I would be very miffed if I had another stay in NY and couldn't stay with Fraulein. God bless her.

"Very nice stay!!!"

A very comfortable apartment in a convenient location - near to metro station and supermarkets. The landlord even provided the basic food stuff in the kitchen such as bagels, milk, juice, etc so that you don't have to go out immediately to shop for food. Very much appreciated especially after travelling a few hours to get to NYC.

The best people, location and amenities!

My wife and I accompanied my daughter and a classmate to Brooklyn to find a place to live for 9 months while they do medical rotations. We used Lefferts Garden Suite as a home base. It is a beautiful and well-equpped 1 bedroom suite that fit the 4 of us comfortably. It is cenrtrally located on lovely tree-lined street in the heart of Brooklyn and proved to be close to everything with easy access to the Q or B line. Fraulein could not have been nicer or more helpful. The kitchen was well stocked with breakfast foods. The entir stay was a joy. We would highly recommend it.
