New cottage in the woods with beach on beautiful lake Peqwaket includes modern appliances and convenieces for all kinds of year-round activities from skiing and snomobiling to outlet shopping and mountain climbing. Access to private beach. Jet skis prohibited but most other activities encouraged. Very quiet for families, romantic getaways, hunting/fishing, mountain climbing, biking, x-country or downhill skiing at Pleasant Mtn (15 min), Wildcat and Attitash (45 min), Sunday River (1 hour) and more.

Wonderful cabin for a simple getaway

February 15, 2013

We stayed in this accommodating cabin in early February 2013. Chips and wine were waiting for us as we entered the warm cabin. Barry, the neighbor across the street was a delight and took good care of us. The neighbours are very welcoming and thoughtful. The cabin is dog-friendly and ours felt right at home. North Conway is 30 mins west in NH and should be visited! Would consider going back in the summer time!

Great Cabin Great Hosts

What a great place to stay. We were greated upon arrival with a bottle of wine and some snacks... more than you would ever expect at any fancy hotel without paying an arm and a leg for it! The landlords are very nice, and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. Answered all of our questions but did not intrude in the slightest! Plenty of books and movies to pass the time with. Fryeburg, right up the road, is a nice sleepy little village with pizza, hiking, and a bowling alley that looked fun. Cornish, down the road the opposite way, has some cozy restaurants and antique shops. No ATT&T or T-Mobile service at the cabin (there is full service for both carries about 3 miles up the road) BUT Verizon does receive at least 2 bars at the cabin all the time.

Excellent weekend!

What an excellent cottage! Perfect privacy, rustic, comfortable. My boyfriend & I stayed 3 nights, there were great local places to hike, fryeburg is closeby for food & beer, the Back Burner right around the corner was awesome for a dinner date or afternoon beer. We enjoyed cooking some of our own meals in the cottage as well, and used the grill one night. Canoe ride around a perfectly calm pond, and watching shooting stars on the beach alone.....we'd go back in a heartbeat :)

What a week!!!

Jay was a great host and had everything we would need except for food and clothes. The cottage was a perfect and the screenhouse definetly got used. The grill, with the full propane bottle, was used every day. The beach area was empty for most of the week so it was almost our own private beach. We had a wonderful week and would consider renting it again!!

Peacefully Quiet and enjoyable

Upon arrival, abottle of wine, chips and dip was on the table awaiting our arrival. Very Cozy cabin, and well kept up. amenities were great. A small walk to the beach area presented a great swimming pond that was clean and clear. Very quiet area and a very good place for seclution, yet not that far from civilization. A great place for relaxation. Enjoyed the entire week, especially with great weather, and yes the pond water was in the upper 70's. I would do this again. Thanks Jay

When we arrived there was a bottle of wine, two wine glasses a snack and the radio on...so welcoming. Not long after the owner came over introduced himself and gave us info on the area, places to eat, and shop and asked if we had any questions. The cottage is clean and comfy with everything you need including games, books and videos. A neighbor came by with flowers and let us know if there was anything we needed to let him know. Recommend highly.

Fun long weekend in eastern Maine

We stayed at the cabin over New Year's weekend. The owner is very nice and helpful. The cabin is close to many fun winter activities- we went snow tubing at King Pine and ice fishing at Burnt Meadow Pond. We had dinner at the BackBurner Restaurant in town and it was great. The cabin has everything you need except for food and cable TV. We had a great time!

A great cabin so cute everything you need except food.Had a great time the owner was great There was two bottles of wine waiting for us a bag of chips and salsa. The air conditioner was running and music playing when we got there very thoughtful. The family enjoyed fishing.A great place to get away!
