Description of the Bucerias vacation home rental

This charming pool side home has three bedrooms, three baths & living /eating/ kitchen area all within a beautiful walled garden. It is walking distance to the beach, the main plaza and the many restaurants of Bucerias. Enjoy staying in a lovely Mexican fishing village. Experience local life but still be close enough to Puerto Vallarta for the tourist attractions. Our village is small enough to walk everywhere but taxis and buses are available for transportation to airport and Puerto Vallarta. Very private-- Casa Alegría is ideal for several couples, or large families to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The owner lives upstairs.
Casa Alegría is on a large corner lot with in an authentic Mexican neighbourhood. You can enjoy the cultural experience and practice your Spanish, yet not be too far removed from the “gringo community”.
We have a private salt water pool. The bedrooms overlook the pool and deck area. The kitchen is equipped with an espresso coffee machine, fruit & vegetable juicer, Kitchen Aid mixer and a bread-making machine.
The bedrooms include one king size bed, two queens and there are also two single couch/beds in the living room. The living/dining/kitchen area is open plan, and leads directly onto the outside eating area. Because of the ocean/mountain breeze there are no bugs! And depending on the season, bananas, limes, and avocados are in constant supply.
There is telephone/internet, Wi-Fi and satellite television.
There are many good shops and restaurants nearby. Fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and seafood are in abundance at the local market, or if you feel the need for a more "busy" nightlife or varied shopping, it is only a short trip into Puerto Vallarta. There is a thriving arts community with courses in drawing, ceramics, jewellery making & print making. Music & Dance are also very much a part of the community. The Sunday market - the 'Tianguis' - is another experience that should not be missed. The hustle & bustle - the bartering & negotiating - is another glimpse of the 'real' Mexico.
The locals are welcoming, warm, and friendly and the charm, gentleness, kindness and humour of the people are everywhere - making you feel comfortable, safe and at ease in this unique vacation setting.

I took all of my children, 2 adults (and their partners) and my two youngest to stay at this property for a couple of weeks in April, 7 of us altogether. We got to all stay together unlike being in separate hotel rooms, yet there was an incredible amount of privacy. There were also plenty of bathrooms so no problems there either. We were expecting good things upon arriving, to our surprise it was more than we expected. The place is a perfect oasis in the heart of a traditional Mexican village. It is beautiful. The private gardens and salt water pool were used daily....so refreshing and just a few steps out the door. Everything we needed was within walking distance. We explored great beaches, artisan markets, local flea markets, and enjoyed some of the best food I've ever had. We hired a local cook for a few nights and we hired local musicians to play for us in the garden one night.....so much fun. Neighbouring communities are easy to get to by bus....we went to Puerto Vallarta one day and Saulita another. I can't say enough about how fantastic this property is...we are all planning to go again next year.....I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.
Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway
