Description of the Bucine vacation apartment rental
Even as you step onto the private-entrance driveway of the villa Stellina, you can sense that your Tuscan vacation has begun. This charming and cosy annexe of a farmhouse is not only a short distance from Tuscany's most famous cities of art, but is also surrounded by countryside of outstanding beauty, scattered with woods, vineyards and olive groves.
La Stellina has been lovingly restored, maintaining its unique architectural heritage as expressed in its terracotta floors and beamed ceilings. This beautiful getaway comfortably accommodates 2 (+2) people on 65 square metres on two floors. Whilst the elegant living room with its sun drenched dining area and kitchen corner create a cosy and relaxed atmosphere, the private garden invites you to relax, enjoy the panorama of this peaceful setting and have a barbecue with a glass of Chianti in the evenings...
The car parking on the property is obviously included and, given that La Stellina is the perfect location, you are invited to explore this area and the treasures of Tuscany from here. It is just 28 km to Siena, 34 km to Arezzo and 63 km to Florence. Actually the friendly little village Pietraviva is only 1.5 km away. We are sure that you will have a wonderful time here at Stellina in the heart of Tuscany and that you will spend an unforgettable holiday in this exceptionally stunning place...
Area Description
Pietraviva is perched on a hill only a few kilometres from Ambra, Bucine and Siena. It seems that the little centre, which stood on the opposite hill, was destroyed at the end of the 13th century and rebuilt in the present location for a better defence. The remaining castle walls in the fortress, which are still visible, forms the wall of some of the present day accommodation. The medieval church Santa Lucia was completely rebuilt in 1580. The vicarage, on the right side of the church, is from the 16th century.
The medieval character of Pietraviva has not changed in essence. The only difference is that nowadays you have a large choice regarding leisure activities. The area offers horseback riding, golf, hiking, cycling or simply relax whilst enjoying the beautiful environment. Or that even on Sundays you'll find the little Bottega, which is a small grocer's shop, open next door.
The private garden invites you to relax, enjoy the panorama of this peaceful setting and have a barbecue with a glass of Chianti in the evenings...
