Buena Vista / Cottonwood Creek Mtn House for Rent (#34948)

Write a review My wife, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this perfectly equipped very clean house. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful mountains and hot springs which are just down the road. Its a beautiful enjoyable drive from Denver especially going through the mountains from Denver and coming back through Colorado Springs. We will be going back for sure! This property was unbelievably clean! It was in a nice location in a beautiful area of Colorado. It is fully equipped and just as advertised. The only feedback I would give is that the dryer dries VERY slowly. The rules stipulate that all bedding must be washed and beds remade. Check out time is noon. We get up very early but still had a hard time getting this done before check out because the dryer works SO slowly. Other than that it was everything they promised! We celebrated our two year wedding anniversary with our newborn baby at the cabin. It was a wonderful experience. There was a nice short hiking path behind the house that we walked with our coffee every morning and usually again in the evening too. It was just a short distance from St. Elmo's Ghost town which was a nice scenic trip. The town of Buena Vista was nice with some excellent restaurants. We would definitely recommend this cabin to any small or large group as it was a very spacious home with lots of room to play games and hang out. Both families had a great time. Lots of fantastic fishing nearby where the kids caught so many fish the adults could not keep up helping them get them of the hooks. Kids loved being outside and roaming around. Open floor plan of the home was great for the toddler in our group. Sleeping with the windows open we could hear the creek. The weather was cool which was a nice break from extremely high temps in our home states of Tennesse and Arizona. Great for a nice relaxing visit with family and friends. My family had such a great time here. The is beautiful! It is perfectly located in Buena Vista. Close to hiking, hot springs, restaurants. They had a game room to keep the kids happy. We even saw deer in the back. We would absolutely return! THE HOUSE WAS EVEN BETTER THAN WE HAD ANTICIPATED. WHAT A WAY TO BREAK UP THE CRAZINESS OF A ROAD TRIPPING VACATION. WE HOPE TO CALL ON YOU AGAIN NEXT SUMMER. THANKS AGAIN. After a long winter,we enjoyed a much-needed respite in the mountains. We took advantage of many activities in the area, but most appreciated the peace & quiet of this beautiful home. It easily sleeps 8 people with a full sized game room to entertain kids of all ages. The mountain views are spectacular, the stream within walking distance allows an opportunity for fishing. Within a short drive from the house, you can enjoy sighting wildlife, relax in the hot springs, go to the Royal Gorge or Cripple Creek. We strongly encourage this as a quiet get-away activity for adults or an action-packed one with kids. We look forward to many future trips to this wonderfully serene home. Our family totally enjoyed the time at your mountain house. My grandson was the most excited since he was able to see the Milky Way for the first time, a double rainbow after a storm, and a bat who hung around the front porch. Exploring the stream and the freedom to roam was a real treat for a city boy. Cozy and comfortable, quiet and wonderfully equipped, we felt right at home the moment we stepped inside. Thank you for providing such a family-oriented setting for our get away and birthday celebration. We spent 5 faboulous nights in Buena Visita. The pictures do not do this home justice. It has the true warmth and feel of a cabin with all the greatness of home. The flow of the creeks in the back made for a beautiful wake up call every morning sitting in the huge log chairs in the back sipping coffee. The sunrise over the mountains was breath taking. We fished everyday. The people in town were not only very friendly but very helpful. We found true paradise and plan to return. Our little 13 pound dog found out she loves the snow. Thank you again for letting us use your home. We can not wait to use it again. My family and I had one of the most enjoyable and relaxing experiences that we have had in a long time. We usually travel with our 5th wheel as we found a lot of accommendations not to our liking, this however was comfortable, clean and felt like home with a beautiful view. Clean up before we left was a snap, we tried to leave it in as good of a condition as it was when we arrived. We would consider this for future arrangements. Jean Loved the home, loved the layout. I look forward to going again!! Thank you!! Beautiful home in a magnificent setting! Listening to the river, the birds was so peaceful..deer on the property at day's beginning and end! Oh, my I can't wait to go back. I hiked every morning right from the front door and walking at night. The home is so well maintained and comfortable in every way. I can't think of one thing I would change. Thank you.
