Description of the Bukit vacation villa rental

Sleeps 6/8. A stunning villa with 3 completely separate delux en-suites with private pool, cook, maid, gardener and security. Peaceful location yet just a few minutes drive from 2 international golf courses, world famous surfing beaches as well as a host of spas, restaurants and nightlife.

Bedrooms: Master bedroom a/c, super king double bed,TV/DVD, walk-in wardrobe, day room - doubles as 4th bedroom. Patio.
Double bedroom a/c, queen double bed, TV/DVD, walk-in wardrobe. Patio.
Twin bedroom a/c, twin beds, TV/DVD, walk-in wardrobes. Patio.
Bathrooms: All three separate units have their own tropical garden bathrooms. The shower, toilet, vanity unit and bathtub are in an idyllic outdoor setting with flowers and shrubs to enhance the luxury fittings. Enter through the beautiful calved Balinese doors.
Kitchen: The kitchen is a separate unit adjoining the lounge/dining area & overlooking the pool. It's well equipped with 5 gas rings, hob, oven, fridge/freezer, water dispenser, microwave, kettle, toaster, rice cooker and blender all serviced by a cook & maid.
Utility Room: Spacious detached utility area with washing machine, iron and ironing board for self use. Full laundry service can be arranged through housekeeping.
Living Rooms: The open air lounge/dining area adjoins the kitchen & swimming pool. There's a dining table with 8 chairs ''' two reclining. The 42 cinema and karaoke surround sound entertainment system has over 200 films & music discs. There are also books & games.
Other: The separate sleeping, entertainment & utility units are all set in a 750 s.m. tropical garden with a swimming pool & fish pond. There's a separate guest garden toilet in the lounge suite. 2 roll away beds/baby cot can be put in the master day room (8).

Area Description

Gunung Payung Villa is in an idyllic location nestled between the award winning resorts of Nusa Dua and famous beach restaurants of Jimbaran Bay. A peaceful location yet only a stone 's throw from spas, water sports, golf, restaurants and nightlife. Complete with cook, maid and security. The villa 's name means umbrella mountain but before you imagine it rains a lot the name comes from the fact that the mountain looks like an umbrella. Ironically, this is the driest part of Bali, so may be the reason why within 10 minutes drive there are two international golf courses that boast some of the most exciting, challenging and picturesque fairways in South East Asia. This area is also home to some of the most famous surfing beaches in the world and the nearby Tanjung Benoa beach is the watersport capital of Bali. Gunung Payung Villa features 3 completely separate suites so is ideal for groups - family, friends or colleagues. This secret walled garden villa is like a corner of paradise.

The villa is set in 750sq.m of tropical garden with a 10m x 4m private swimming pool. The idyllic garden features beautiful blooms and tropical trees including coconut, mango & superbly scented Jasmin. There is also a pool deck with 4 sun beds and 2 sun umbrellas. The outdoor patios on the bedroom units feature elegant Javanese coffee tables and two chairs. There is a stepping stone fishpond at the entrance to the garden which is gained via delightful carved Balinese double doors.

New Kuta Golf is less than 10 minutes drive from the villa and is Bali's newest international golf course. Spectacular cliff top views with challenging and interesting holes - it is fast becoming the island's favorite. Drop the wife and kids off at the nearby Dreamland or Balangan white sandy beaches while you play!
Bali Golf & Country Club is also only 10 minutes drive from the villa. A more established course, it has been named as one of the best 5 golf courses in Asia by Fortune magazine. It is set within the award winning resorts & shopping complexes of Nusa Dua.
Bali Nirwana, less than an hour's drive from the villa was designed by Greg Norman and is suitably challenging! It overlooks the popular Tanah Lot temple - so golf can be combined with culture.
Bali Handara is about three hours drive from the villa set high in the mountains. You can stop en-route in Ubud - the artist's retreat.
Bali Beach is less than 40 minutes drive from the villa. It's 9 holes and in Sanur area

Further details
Gunung Payung literally means Umbrella Mountain. The name comes from the fact that, from a distance, the mountain actually looks like an umbrella. In fact, the Bukit (or hill) is one of the driest areas in Bali and being on higher ground, means you are fanned by the gentle breezes. A ten minute bike ride to the coast finds the largely undiscovered Gunung Payung temple which overlooks one of the most spectacular coastlines. Watch out for the monkey's in the forest or along the cliffs. A picnic on the beach is a treasured moment - with only the seaweed farmers for company - certainly no t-shirt sellers here - only thick sandy beaches, incredible surf and fascinating caves to explore.
There really are only two seasons in Indonesia. Hot and dry (April - October) and hot and rainy (October - March.) Even in the rainy season - the tropical downpours only last and hour or two - so most of the time it is still like a summer's day. Temperatures usually range from 28 to 32 degrees year around - so it never gets cold nor exceptionally hot.
This area has the dual benefit of being tranquil and picturesque yet just a stone's throw from restaurants and nightlife.
The southern part of Bali is known as one of the best surfing areas in the world. Padang Padang, Ulawatu and Dreamland beaches are the famous ones - but many others are dotted along the coastline - just waiting to be discovered.
Ten minutes from the villa is Tangung Benoa - the water sport capital of Bali - everything from banana boats to water skiing, para gliding, snorkeling,diving & fishing;
Jimbaran Bay - famous for its candle-lit dinners on the beach and Nusa Dua - a unique complex of award winning luxury hotels with some of the world's top chefs and delightful tropical settings for corporate conferences and holidaymakers alike.
Just half an hour's ride away is the tourist hot spots of Kuta, Seminyak & Legian with their souvenir markets, restaurants & discos.
